How can SGNP authorities permit such massive sound setups inside a protected eco-sensitive zone? This blatant disregard for wildlife directly violates the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, Section 27/35 restricting prohibited activities in National Parks, and the Noise Pollution Rules, 2000. Stop commercializing Mumbai's green lungs—protect wildlife peace now!

On Wednesday, over 2400 tribals gathered in Sanjay Gandhi National Park, opposing the Zonal Master Plan and refusing to relocate, saying the forest was an integral part of their lives and identity.
They demanded implementation of the Forest Rights Act and basic facilities like water and electricity, alleging they were labelled encroachers, with one resident saying, “We have lived here for generations.”
