❗First they create the problem, then they mutilate pigs to solve it.
The industry tells us that cutting off the tails of piglets at just days old is caring for them, but it’s an unimaginable way of solving a problem that factory farming itself has created.
🐖 Tail docking is like breaking someone’s leg and then blaming them if it needs to be amputated.
Pigs aren’t the problem; factory farming is.

Can someone from @ukhomeoffice explain why you have no idea how many dogs are dying / being euthanised, at MBR Acres (beagle breeding facility Cambridgeshire)???
With external temps reaching 53 degrees on the sheds the dogs are kept in (courtesy of @TheCampBeagle_ ). I wanted to know how many dogs had died between 1st April and 13th July,
I did a Freedom of Information to find out how many dogs have died, including those of heat related causes.
The answer was worse that I could ever have imagined.
The answer was that you don’t know.
And the reason you don’t know is because it’s not in the rules you set for places like MBR to have to report on.
As if it wasn’t bad enough that you are handing out licences for these animals to be subjected to lives of abuse & torture… you don’t even keep a record of the number of dogs dying there?!! Could this be any more pathetic?!
So we will NEVER KNOW how many have died from heatstroke.
We may all hate MBR Acres, but let’s be honest, it’s actually You (Home Office) setting the rules and letting them get away with this.
The Home Office Animals in Science Regulation Unit are a national disgrace.
One day this scandal will be front page news.

An empty bus pulled into Ridgland Farms in Wisconsin last week and emerged with more than 150 rescued beagles – who had never felt grass or fresh air in their lives. More than 2,000 beagles had been already rescued from the farm, a controversial biomedical research and breeding facility.
CBS News' @adamyamaguchi got to be there as the remaining dogs – many of them puppies – had their first taste of freedom. Many of the dogs were paralyzed with fear as they finally exited the cages they had been trapped in and entered the unknown world of caring human beings and safety.
After protesters tried to break into the facility to rescue the dogs earlier this year, the facility decided to shut down its breeding operations. The remaining beagles were taken to Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Florida, where they will be put up for adoption.

Please retweet RSPCA APPEAL FOR INFORMATION – INJURED DOG FOUND IN #CAMBRIDGE #UK🚨
This is Peanut, a Shih Tzu Lhasa Aspo-cross. He was found straying in Ross Street, #Cambridge on 2 July, carrying injuries that were hidden beneath matted fur so severe his ear had become attached to his neck.
When the team at Woodgreen Pets Charity clipped him, they uncovered the wounds you can see in this collage:
⭐ Long, vertical injuries running from his back down to his stomach
⭐ Missing fur and raw, healing skin
⭐ Marks that do NOT look accidental
The RSPCA believes these injuries are “extremely unusual” and may have been deliberately inflicted.
📌 Peanut was rehomed around six months ago.
📌 Someone knows who had him.
📌 Someone knows what happened.
Despite everything, Peanut is recovering — his personality is shining through — but he deserves justice.
