Besides “stupid”, “pig” and I guess more coming, you are discussing substance. I will respond point by point:
Indeed Article 208(2) demands a non-partisan UPDF. It does not outlaw civic association. Article 78 lets serving officers sit in Parliament while still in uniform. If that is lawful, civic actions of a URSB registered civic organization that supports positions the NRM is not a breach.
Section 99 of the UPDF Act bites only when an officer presently “desires to seek political office.” A service officer picking Electoral Commission Nomination forms and subsequent actions. Talking of intention to stand for a public office is not enough.
Justice Gadenya Paul Wolimbwa, dismissing Male Mabirizi’s private complaint, held that “supporting the political ambitions of a serving military officer did not, in itself, automatically render an organisation unlawful.”
Section 16 of Cap. 178 bars activity in a political party or organisation. Cap. 178 itself excludes pressure groups and civic organisations. PLU has refused a party name, stays inside the exclusion, and channels support through the already registered NRM. Article 72(2) forbids operating “as” an unregistered party. It is not doing so.
What makes you stupid is the inability to comprehend:
Article 208(2) of the 1995 Constitution requires the UPDF to be “nonpartisan, national in character, patriotic, professional, disciplined, productive and subordinate to the civilian authority.”
Section 99 of the UPDF Act, 2005 provides that a serving officer or militant who desires to seek political office shall first resign or retire from the Defence Forces according to regulations made by the minister. Courts have applied this to hold that active-service personnel cannot validly contest elections or participate in partisan processes without prior discharge.
Section 16 of the Political Parties and Organisations Act, 2005 bars members of the UPDF (and police, prisons, public officers, traditional/cultural leaders, and employees of wholly government-owned companies) from founding, promoting, joining, or holding office in a political party or organisation; speaking publicly or publishing on partisan controversies; or canvassing for parties or candidates.
And you are going on to defend arseholes violating provisions of the law. Looks like your father sold cows to educate a pig. You even have no shame and if I don’t tell you the truth, how can I say we come from the same sub county?

PLU's registration and endorsement drive is a smart method that no existing organisation has attempted before. It's like an opinion poll, but dealing with real people who have national IDs and contacts, targeting to have more members than the registered voters in the 2026 elections. Some political groups often claim victory in elections based on opinion polls that used random people, who are neither members of the party nor voters, as respondents. On Gen. @mkainerugaba's supposed bid for the Presidency, clearly he has stated that his bid is after H.E @KagutaMuseveni and not challenging him for the seat. Many are misunderstanding this while others are twisting it deliberately to create unnecessary anxiety and friction in the Ugandan public space. PO132 FK

The Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation (UPPC), the official Government Printer, has made the E-Gazette freely accessible online, removing cost barriers and making official government publications easier to access.
The Uganda Gazette contains statutory instruments, legal notices, government appointments, registrations and other official communications relied upon by citizens, businesses, legal practitioners, researchers and public institutions.
UPPC Managing Director, Prof. Sudi Nangoli, said the initiative strengthens transparency, accountability and public access to official government information.
The move forms part of UPPC’s 2023–2028 Strategic Plan, which targets digitisation of 80% of the Corporation’s products and systems by 2028. The Corporation has also been digitising historical editions of the Uganda Gazette dating back to 1902.
Members of the public can access the free E-Gazette through the Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation’s official website by navigating to the Uganda Gazette/E-Gazette section and selecting their preferred edition.
The initiative marks another step in Government’s efforts to expand digital access to public information and improve service delivery. @uppc_uganda

URSB ENGAGES PARLIAMENT ON ITS MANDATE AND CONTRIBUTION TO NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Today, the @URSBHQ delegation, led by Ag. Registrar General Mr. Mustapher Ntale @NtaleMustapher, interfaced with Parliament of Uganda’s Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE).
Discussions covered URSB’s mandate, business formalisation initiatives, service delivery and the Bureau’s contribution to Uganda’s national development goals.
The engaging interface provided an opportunity to clarify mandate-related inquiries, exchange perspectives and reinforce accountability within the legislative and regulatory framework.
URSB remains committed to strengthening public trust, promoting formalisation and delivering registration and intellectual property services that support Uganda’s economic transformation.

The weak shilling, high borrowing costs, fuel prices, food prices and more continue to squeeze households and businesses.
The @BOU_Official & @mofpedU are trying to stop the bleeding through a number of measures.
Then boom! @newvisionwire delivers this headline! Whereas I am happy for civil servants, four or more questions come up:
1. Was this the right time to implement the allowances enhancement?
2. What signal does this send to struggling citizenry accross all sectors?
3. How does this help government measures that are aimed at squeezing liquidity out of the market to help contain the runaway shilling?
4. What is going on?

UPDATE: The Ministry of Health has tested drones to transport medical supplies and patient samples from Kalangala District to laboratories in Kampala, in a move aimed at reducing delays in diagnosis and treatment. Ms Prossy Mbabazi, who oversees the drone project at the ministry, said the technology is expected to shorten the time taken to transport samples from island health facilities to specialised laboratories. Currently, samples collected from 16 health facilities in Kalangala are transported by road, with some taking several days to reach laboratories. The initial rollout will cover Jaana, Bufumira, Kyamuswa and Bubeke health centres, with plans to extend the service to more islands.

Please take note. We dont have Ebola in Uganda, but remain vigilant and report suspected unauthorised border crossings to the relevant authorities to facilitate screening and necessary public health follow-up. @DianaAtwine @MinofHealthUG @assempebwa
The government has been deliberate, and it works. For example, @MoICT_Ug has been supporting ICT innovators since 2017 when the National ICT Initiatives Support Programme (@NIISP_ICT ) was launched. A lot has been achieved, including the operationalisation of the @innovationhubug, which provides an incubation centre for developers. @azawedde @JustineLumumba
To Ugandan system and website developers, we need to have an honest conversation.
You can spend months building an app or SaaS to solve Uganda’s problems, only to realise that digital illiteracy is still a problem of its own. People may not understand your platform, trust it or even give it attention.
And sometimes, the solutions we build are better suited for markets where people already have the digital habits and purchasing power we assume Ugandans have.
One more thing: you cannot sustainably solve a country's financial problems when you're financially struggling yourself.
Build something that solves your own financial problem first. Get it working, earn from it, learn from the market, then use that experience to tackle bigger problems.
Uganda needs innovative developers, yes. But it also needs developers who understand the market they're building for.
We're not just building software. We're building businesses in a society that is still learning how to use, trust and pay for digital solutions.
Let me join the rest of the world to congratulate those thriving to become better. Congratulations, @musomesaug 🎊. Fruits of hard work are immense. You are now wiser, but we need a PhD.
