Holy sh*t. Claude Code just found a hidden chip inside my Chinese power bank from Guangzhou. Every time I charged my iPhone, it quietly copied the whole phone… It also read our saved Wi-Fi password off my iPhone, got onto our home network and sent everything to a server. I bought it for $19 at an airport kiosk there 3 weeks ago. No brand, 30,000 mAh on the label, and it felt heavy. The first time I plugged in, the screen asked "Trust This Computer?". I tapped Trust without thinking and went on with my day. That one tap gave it access to everything. This morning I finally set up Claude Code to warn me when any device starts reading my files. An hour later, 10 seconds into charging, the screen filled with yellow warnings, then red ones: data was moving when it should only be charging. I asked Claude Code what was going on. My phone saw the power bank as a small computer with 64 GB of storage and its own internet connection. A USB cable has wires for power and wires for data, and a normal charger only uses the power ones. This one used both, and it had already copied all of this: → /device → IMEI and serial number → /contacts → 1,206 numbers → /apps → every app I have, including my 2 bank apps → /photos → 3,912 pictures, my passport among them → /wifi → our network name and its key → /wife's iPhone → her photos too, she charged from it twice and tapped Trust too Each time we plugged in, it used that key to get online and send out the new files: sends to → 47.***.***.12 uploads → 19 in 3 weeks last one → last night at 2:14, while we slept I pulled the cable right away. Then Claude Code blocked that address on our router and walked me through changing the Wi-Fi password and the logins for my bank apps. I had it opened at a repair shop, and what was inside is in the first comment. A 30-second check for your own is in the second one. Save this and test every power bank in your house today.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Appears staged. Claude Code on iPhone is only a remote client and cannot monitor USB or dump data as shown. Account posts similar unverified stories promoting tools. Malicious power banks are a theoretical risk; never tap Trust on unknown devices. code.claude.com/docs/en/mobile support.apple.com/en-us/109054

How funny is this The Bay Area.. the wealthiest part of California & top 3 wealthiest places in the whole US Voted Yes to Prop 40 Even the billionaires were down to get taxed But all the poor folk voted No lmfao wtf wrong with yall man
Early results show Prop 40 leaning toward no, particularly across Eastern and Southern California, while a handful of coastal counties backed the billionaire’s tax. Explore the map: sf.news/4AcIoWd

🚨BREAKING: Republicans' odds to flipping the Michigan US Senate seat JUMP OVERNIGHT. Michigan - 2026 US Senate 🟥Mike Rogers 44.3% (+3.7) 🟦Abdul El-Sayed 40.6% Polling average via Pollsmax.com. Abdul El-Sayed has become the Democratic frontrunner, and compared to his primary opponents—Mallory McMorrow and Haley Stevens—he performs by far the worst against Mike Rogers. If El-Sayed ends up being the nominee, Republicans will be the heavy favorites to flip Michigan's US Senate seat later this year.

AIPAC astroturf accounts in shambles
DNC Black Caucus chair: “We are dismayed that Congresswoman Haley Stevens has revealed herself to be a sellout who used Black Michiganders for a political stunt. Congresswoman Stevens has lost her way, and Michiganders know that Mike Rogers is a shill for Trump”

Standing with Miker Rogers is a betrayal of everything Haley Stevens has fought for her entire career. It's also a betrayal of all of her supporters that believed in her. I hope @AbdulElSayed has a strong victory on Tuesday and that all Democrats and like-minded independents support vote for him.

The funny part is that I really don't think Schumer or Democratic leadership wanted her to give up the game so blatantly by straight up endorsing the Republican and are probably furious about this Lobby-backed kamikaze op on their point shaving scheme
Let's be clear what happened: Having tried & failed to use $30 million of AIPAC money to get voters to reject Abdul, Haley Stevens' Plan B was: threaten to sabotage the general unless Abdul "moderated" on Israel. He declined to be threatened, so she pressed the nuclear button.

Stevens says she’s for investing in Black owned businesses. “And that’s the policy that Mike’s going to take on,” Stevens says.

This is unambiguously a gift to the left. We could duke it out all day on here for years and never be proven as correct as this 2 minute video is proving us. Thank you Haley!
I am endorsing Mike Rogers for the United States Senate today.

This is legit one of the craziest things I've ever seen in politics Not surprising considering AIPAC of c but still pretty insane. However it is not surprising at all to see large swaths of the KHive bot accounts actually supporting republicans now lol
I am endorsing Mike Rogers for the United States Senate today.
