something that makes me sad, not in a trad way, is that public buildings used to be designed to be places that were both functional and served as celebrations of art and architecture. they were supposed to feel important and grand.

Ukrainian veteran Ruslan Knysh is just 20 years old. Still, he continues to defend his country after losing both arms and legs in a Russian drone attack. Today, he is training to become a drone pilot by using a customized chin controller to operate unmanned ground vehicles. abcnews.link/H2WKOYt

What does it really mean to be born in a colonial resource extraction project, and your country is designed for its citizens to either facilitate it, or export their labour to another country angled to exploit it?
How do you make peace with that?

Yusuf Buhari minded his business throughout his dad's administration. One accident on a power bike and the South was shouting, not even sympathizing, they never cared whether he was dead or alive. Their main problem was where he got the money to buy a ₦15 million bike 😂😂
Today, Seyi's convoy is worth ₦4 billion, moving around like he is the VP and nobody is moving a muscle.

The reason you should not care about this and, in fact, be against the current administration full-time is that this lesson is for them & they keep skipping the classes.
Do they know that Nigeria is a poor country? I don't think many people understand how much the political class loots from the public purse.
Join even a small government-related committee in your LGA, and you'll see signs and wonders.
Those are the people who should be attending a seminar on "Nigeria is a poor country".
The average Nigerian lives for about 54 years, while the Japanese can expect to live for about 90 to 100 years, Singaporeans for 83 years, and Canadians for 82 years. Does this mean that God is more eager to receive Nigerians into heaven than He is to receive the Japanese, Singaporeans or Canadians? Or have we created a society in which death arrives earlier for some than it does for others?
A Nigerian may spend 40 fewer years on earth than a Japanese person. Forty years! An entire lifetime of birthdays, conversations, dreams, family gatherings and opportunities, lost to a difference that cannot simply be explained away as the will of God.
Perhaps we should stop looking towards heaven for answers to questions that demand answers from those governing us on earth. The policies of the man sitting in Aso Rock affect the hospitals we enter, the food we eat, the water we drink, the jobs we find and the conditions under which we struggle to survive.
Until Nigerians understand that leadership is not merely about who occupies the presidential seat, but also about how long and how well the people live, we may continue to mistake a failure of governance for a decision of God.

They always say the country is poor to buttress their point that corruption doesn’t have much effect like people claim it has on the country
Meanwhile the country has been plagued with extreme corruption for over 60 years; please how exactly should the country have become rich from such inhumane levels of theft?🤣

"without killing upwards of 30 million of them." Because you lot didn't classify Black people as full people. America and the European powers have caused more death than we can ever calculate.
Many Western nations managed to "uplift farmers and the working class" without killing upwards of 30 million of them.
We did this, generally, without empowering student mobs to trash all the history we now claim we're proud of, and without massacring the wealthy and the educated on the altar of cultural revolution.
One of the many ironies of the modern Chinese nationalist is that, were it not for generals countermanding the Red Guard, the evidence they claim for their greatness would have been totally destroyed by Mao's own faction.
We have no equivalent of Mao's campaign against the Four Olds, having largely gotten over iconoclastic religious hysteria in medieval times.
We never went around killing sparrows to avert famine (which caused a surge in locusts that made famine worse) — of all our many retarded leaders, none have been so retarded as that.
Our war heroes did not hide in mountains waiting for the Kuomintang to do all their fighting for them, only to emerge and claim credit after the fact. The Communists are not war heroes. They drove the war heroes out of the country they fought to save.
We have managed to make modern nations of citizens, not subjects; and our technological prowess today is the product of invention, not theft.
We have empowered our ethnic and religious minorities, almost to a fault, while the Chinese government locks them up in camps that we consider horrors.
As is usually the case, Communist doctrines of "colonialism" and "imperialism" - the latter a Leninist propaganda trick designed to save Marxism from all its failed predictions - are spread today to spare Communism the shame of its own deeds.
And we are able (and even encouraged) to criticise our most important leaders and heroes, while the Communist Party apparatchik must debase his own intellect before he is allowed to speak.
China does have a rich and wonderful history. Mao created none of it, and destroyed much of it. The fat ass of his legacy squats on what remains.

Education is what makes you, a Nigerian (a developing low-income country) be at par or close to people from developed countries like the UK, USA, China & European countries.
Without Education, you’re absolutely NOTHING!
So when foot minions loyal to the incumbent government tell you “education is a privilege & not a right”, do not be logical with them, Curse them out!!

“I also don’t trust the government but all I know is that we need to increase our taxes to the same government before Nigeria can get better”.
