Jon Husted voted once to hide the Epstein files, 9 times to cut your health care, and 14 times to continue the Iran War. You only get one chance to vote him out, don't miss it.

Why would you call something Mitch McConnell did the Schumer rule 😂. The unwillingness to grapple with the way two court seats were handled by McConnell by anyone on the right is going to lead to total SCOTUS calvinball for the foreseeable future. Cake was baked in 2020.
It is quite possible that the new rule — the Schumer Rule? — will be that if one party has the majority, it will _never_ hold a hearing on a Supreme Court nominee from a president of the other party, no matter how much time remains until the next election. Democrats talk a lot about expanding the Supreme Court, but if, God forbid, there’s an unexpected vacancy in the next two years, they may well end up shrinking it temporarily.

“Just around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, an MS NOW reporter was present in the courtroom as a federal prosecutor reported a grand jury’s ‘non-concurrence’ to a federal magistrate judge in the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C. A noncurrence means a majority of the grand jurors failed to reach agreement to indict. This was the only ‘non-concurrence’ of the day.”

CBS deleted this post and reposted it admitting that their original one was misleading. And the misleading post from CBS was intentionally misleading, not an innocent mistake. CBS continues to lose credibility.

Deservedly scathing op-ed by the NYT: “If Democrats retake both houses of Congress, and more state governments than they now control, it will tell the world that Mr. Trump does not represent most Americans. It will demonstrate that a country that starts to slide toward autocracy can move back to normalcy, as happened in Hungary this spring. Most important, it will create a desperately needed check on Mr. Trump during his final two years in office. … In a 21-month span, he has done more harm to democracy and the rule of law than any other president in the modern era and perhaps longer than that. He has broken his oath to defend the Constitution by trying to rewrite it on his own. He has refused to honor Congress’s power of the purse and misused national security laws for political ends. He has defied federal court orders on Medicaid funding, deportation orders and more. He has dismantled the Justice Department’s legacy as an impartial enforcer of federal law, turning it into an instrument of retribution against his adversaries while canceling investigations into his allies. He has appointed inept sycophants to oversee crucial government functions, including law enforcement, national defense and public health. He has sought to disenfranchise large numbers of voters, claiming fraud that cannot be found, and championed an extreme new approach to partisan gerrymandering. He has physically besmirched the White House by demolishing the East Wing and financing a garish renovation with donations from wealthy allies.” nytimes.com/2026/10/27/opini…

That includes Michele Tafoya here in Minnesota. If his hand-picked protégé doesn’t win, Trump’s going to try and steal the seat. When he’s backed into a corner he relies on the same dirty, corrupt playbook: Election denial and authoritarianism.
Q: You'll respect the election results whatever happens? TRUMP: If they're honest elections (That's a no!)

This is a testament to the hopelessness of generative AI based on human training data to be creative. This is a statistical hologram of every version of the Odyssey Elon could steal. This is the midpoint of all the junk related to the story in its training data—every crappy Youtube video, B-movie, and school play, all mushed together. Everything you see from these things is mathematically mid. It has no understanding of what it’s depicting. It’s just illuminating our own exhaust. Nothing is being created. It’s like the first time humans saw movies—of a train coming into a station. They thought a real train was coming through the screen and ran away. That’s what’s happening with AI. Once you see slop for what it is, you will never be afraid of it again.
Watch Episode 1 of our Odyssey series made with Grok Imagine. Let us know in the comments if you'd like a full breakdown of how it was done! Creative collaboration with @WonderStudiosX and director Dev Walker @glumlot_

All states have laws criminalizing attempts to engage in illegal acts that fail. If you point a gun at me, pull the trigger & the gun misfires, it's still attempted murder! The lazy media trope that "Trump tried to do <fill in the blank> but it didn't work" isn't a good argument!

ICE @DHSgov detaining and injuring a special ed US citizen and then just release the student with no due care after injuring him? Irresponsible unaccountable monsters who are untrained and should be fired along with their bosses. “He was so scared,” Goldin recalled the student telling him. “He thought they were going to kill him. He thought he was going to die.”
“the student has no family and lives in a group home for adults with developmental disabilities. After the agents released him, the student walked to school, crying and in pain. His teacher saw him and dialed 911” latimes.com/politics/story/2…

Maybe this is crazy. But a woman who built herself up from being a homeless child to an accomplished physician, seems preferable to a man born into the privileges of private education and frequent international family vacations but never learned decency.

We are making the oil oligarchs rich. We are making Trump and his cronies rich. It is literally at our expense every day. There’s no trickling down happening. And Trump is bragging about it knowing nobody in the Republican Party will stand up to him and say enough.
TRUMP on HIGH GAS PRICES: We’re making money like we’ve never made before. They’ll say: President Trump is bragging about all the money they're making while people are suffering at the pump. I don’t give a damn. We’re making a freaking fortune.

"Right now, we’re living in Trump’s world, in Vance’s world, in Hegseth’s world. .. This is what a world without empathy looks like. It’s a world of constant othering, of constant rage .. But nothing flourishes in that world." This is very well articulated A fascinating read:
New in PN: In defense of empathy "Being aware of other people’s feelings, sensitive to them, and able to put yourself in another person’s shoes is pretty much essential for humans to function as a community. But the current conservative project has zero room for that sort of thing." publicnotice.co/p/trump-empa…
