New evidence coming to light on air embolism cases. Strengthens Letby claims, I’m told. As result - delaying Dr Dewi Evans full interview out of fairness.

The six coppers surround and arrest my wife- she was handcuffed. Bedfordshire police later stated in a report it was because they believed she was a danger to herself and others. Another day in modern Britain…

Very premature babies stay alive because of continuous life support in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They should not be portrayed as Well & Stable, when their lives are on a knife edge, depending on Intensive Care #Letby youtu.be/A0W-faJdmug?is=kctX… – at Ballachulish, Scotland

Not just the present administration: Every government since the CCRC was established has starved it of funds. I was absolutely staggered to learn today that @becomeajudge has about the same number of staff/commissioners, and larger budget, than the criminal justice watchdog.

The Defended Self: Such certainty of murder might be a psychological defence - used by consultants and expert witnesses - to manage helplessness felt when babies collapsed in their care. Projection, splitting and blame are powerful ways to deny one’s own fallibility. #lucyletby

LAWYERS PAID FIRST Government figures show £17.6m in legal costs on the Overturned Convictions scheme. That is equal to 26% of the redress paid. These postmasters had already been cleared by the courts. Why does it cost so much to pay people we already know were wronged?
The gov managed to spend £17.6m on legal fees just to pay compo to 111 postmasters whose convictions had already been overturned by the courts. That is £158,500 per person in legal costs, or £26 to the lawyers running the scheme for every £100 that reached the victims.

As a doctor in agreement with you what is so worrying is that despite having made multiple representations about the medical nonsense presented at the trial, indeed gross mendacity and perjury by certain so-called experts and consultants neither the police nor the GMC will act.

Six police surround myself and my wife and arrest us at home. This is from the police bodycam footage. We’re currently taking action against Bedfordshire police for this outrageous arrest. Myself and my wife were clearly soft targets, not exactly hardened criminals but they handcuffed both anyway …all charges dropped after a couple of months with no apology or explanation. The children were terrorised and they’ll never trust the police again.
