Yes, we need more housing, but not at the cost of denying communities—especially EJ communities—one of our best tools to limit pollution and ensure a safer future. SB 607 would strip away those tools when we need them most. Vote NO on SB 607!

Fossil fuel polluters should pay for the climate damages their products inflict on California. They shouldn’t get to dump their costs on the public. We must stand up to polluters and demand they pay to clean up their mess! RSVP to rally at bit.ly/MakePollutersPayMay27
The fossil fuel industry knew what it was unleashing and DIDN'T STOP. Big Oil's mantra: Kill, baby, kill.
We urge the @AirResources Board to reject staff's harmful approach to the #LCFS that locks in perverse incentives and windfall profits for the production of factory farm gas at the cost of #California communities.

Big Oil wants to scare you into voting for @realDonaldTrump.
California just passed a bill cracking down on a scheme oil companies use to jack up gas prices before the election.
Don't fall for their dirty lies.
Now is @AirResources' last chance to #FixLCFS. @CAGovernor, @Mslianeran: we need to stop rewarding polluters! It’s not too late 2 do the right thing! ttps://www.fixlcfs.com/last-chance

If you or someone you know in #WNC relies on a private well for drinking water, I'm working on a story about well contamination and the funding issues associated with getting wells tested and the water cleaned up. [email protected]

A thread.. 1/10 🌊🚨 @IMOHQ rolled out the red carpet on Monday…for greenwashing! 🚢 Scrubby, the green sponge, flew in from the USA in a white Rolls Royce to promote LNG – a climate disaster in disguise. @oceanrebellion demands real climate action! #SayNoToLNG #StopGreenwashing

Really delighted to have my research on politicians and climate change covered in The Irish Times today.
It's an excellent article by @HannahEDaly, discussing how low-carbon behaviour can influence leader credibility...

I had not realized coal power has plummeted like this in Germany - down two thirds in a decade. See the two jumps from ~2009 to 2013 and 2020 to 2022? That's the only times that developments on coal in Germany were widely reported on... the coal industry hype machine is doing a lot better than the rest of the industry. And to be clear this includes both hard coal and lignite; my first reaction when seeing this was it cannot include both.

BREAKING:
Emissions should have peaked a long time ago (and certainly before the mid-point of the 2020s) to avoid cataclysmic global warming, but Jan-Aug 2024 CO₂ emissions are even higher than 2023.
This Doom Economy promises mass death and rapid extinction at 2-3°C by 2048.
Why isn't anybody talking about this? ⬇️
