No, the sunset is at 4:37 p.m. It is still light 30 minutes after sunset so it will get dark at 5:07
The majority of Americans are awake at 6:30, drinking coffee and getting dressed. We need Morning Light to wake ourselves up. Naturally our bodies follow the Sun. If you want more daylight in your evening then wake up earlier and start your day earlier. That means you will have to go work one hour earlier than you normally do. So you could have that one hour of evening sunlight like you wanted
