I asked Dan Hurley the same question I asked Tom Izzo: why does the media have a problem with coaches coaching players hard? Hurley: "Society has gotten soft in a lot of ways... The real world is tough and cruel... I'm preparing my players for life."

Our Consultant Kevin Suggested “Virtue Signaling” to Help Drive Sales. I have chosen “No Mow May.” The Verdict is Out on Results but We Have Certainly: -Triggered my Neighbor Chet -Disrupted Lawn Sports -Almost lost Lyla @DogsOfTurf

Pay attention to your seed labels! Note that “other crop seed” would include things like ryegrass in a tall fescue seed. 1% is enough to leave one rye grass plant every foot in every direction.

How it started when I took over in October vs how it’s going now… When I took over this green had been closed since May 2024. Today I opened for the first time in just under a year.

After two weeks of very hot and dry weather, the weather in Lincoln has turned cloudy with moderated temperatures. Morning dew hasn't been very heavy but lingers. What does that lead to? The return of etilolation on many grass species regardless of PGR treatment or ingredient.

I can't remember but what I tell me supes now is it ain't Jeopardy it's chess. You don't have to have all the answers in a specific format. Know your next few moves with an endgame in mind.

Before you complain about how tough life in America is today, take a moment… You don’t have to face this at 6am tomorrow.

In the 1990’s, NBA champion Horace Grant wore goggles because he was legally blind. However, after getting corrective eye surgery, he continued to wear them for another, heroic reason. Horace said: “After a few years I got Lasik surgery, but I kept wearing them without the perscription [sic] lenses because I had grandparents and parents come up to me and thank me for wearing them. Their kids and grandkids would get made fun of by wearing protective eyewear playing sports, so I kept wearing them to help make it cool to wear goggles for the kids.”
