I greatly appreciate those working sincerely on this! I'm posting this from my bath tub where I spend half of my day generally due to injuries. What are the offsets being added to the bill? I get the call for civility, I see it as well and try to keep myself on the correct side, but understand this civility is an act by 54,000 of us. There is a massive amount of justified rage behind the kind posts and gentle requests. You have to understand where the lack of civility comes from. We aren't bots. We're actual people, with serious medical issues due to our service, and being robbed every month by the same government we swore to defend. Our families make hard choices everyday, while the same people who tell us "it's too expensive", blow 10x the amount on a random weekday into a foreign country on a whim. These foreign countries don't have to "trust the chairman", no "we need to find offsets". Foreign aid gets blasted through like the world will end if we don't act immediately. This is more than my mortgage payment every month. I've lost more than the value of my house since retirement due to this. I understand the lack of decorum can be off putting. But it's righteous anger and I feel it's important for those in DC to understand their continued delays and outright lies are only adding fuel to this fire. Be honest. Be open. But the time frame for expecting blind trust is long passed. What are the offsets? What do we have to lose to get our earned retirement? This is what is being discussed behind closed doors. What can we take from veteran's right pocket to put into their left. That's the current action plan. We've seen these same politicians bragging for the last month over a bill that further erodes everyone's VA mortgage to benefit a deserving but small group. No foreign country gave up any aid. The ONLY people to pay for this are other veterans. Think about how sick that is. Then imagine seeing your rep bragging about it. The anger is justified. What was the offset to send $9 billion to Ukraine's discharge petition almost immediately? We're simply sick of the bullshit double standards. The current NDAA is 1.15 Trillion. The same voices championing this bill for the defense industrial complex donors, tell us our earned retirement is too expensive. I'm starting to think there is no civil solution here. @RepBost @HouseGOP @HouseVetAffairs @davidmedic81 @DavidWarrenVet @bricecrawford @elonmusk @AirForceDad50 @RepMillsPress @DonJBacon @repvanepps @54KVeterans @kniftarqr9y @passmajstaract

I believe that the discharge petition is the push that we need to pass my brother's bill in normal order. We will get a much better bill, my brother's bill. Normal order and let this discharged petition be the looming thunder cloud as a backup reserve plan. The problem with the discharge petition is the wording of it. It watersdammed the benefits and the eligibility group. It also has no identifiable offsets and therefore will be dead on arrival in the US Senate The discharge petition says that after the build paths it has 3 days to be delivered to Senate, it does not provide a path forward within the Senate. I Have been up to the hill multiple times in the last month and I will return multiple times this coming week. We are very close. I would rather keep the discharge petition right where it is now with 15 representatives away from invoking it. Once that discharged petition goes forward, we only have 1 hour of debate to push amendments to it 30 minutes on each side of the aisle. We will not be able to secure the proper amendments to bank this bill. The best Bill that I can be. My brother came to the hill with his last breath to fight for this bill and I will and have campaigning to fight for our combat window veterans. But I fight with civility. The representatives always open the door to me and invite me back because I am civil. We do not need a lack of decorum in regards to my brother's bill. It only closed those doors.

Whoever wrote it knew exactly what they were doing; trying to nickel and dime vets for other deserving benefits. As written, TCAVA is bad for future vets + combat disabled retirees w/ less than 20 yrs service. Pass the stand alone Star Act and then Redraft this horrendous bill.

Whites must start advocating openly for Whites The same way other races advocate for theirs. No shame. No polite pretending. Otherwise we're finished.

The CLEAN Major Richard Star Act (H.R. 2102/S. 1032) could soon come up for a House vote! With 218 discharge petition signatures secured, this is a critical moment. Congress must act, pass the clean bill, and honor our combat-wounded veterans. Time is now #MajorRichardStarAct

Top 10 things Donald Trump would do to save his legacy: 10. Replace Kash Patel with Andrew Bailey 9. Beg Greg Bovino to come back 8. Replace Todd Blanche with Jonathan Gross 7. Release Brian Cole Jr. 6. Beg Joe Kent to come back 5. Release the Epstein files 4. Fire Howard Lutnick 3. Unleash MAHA 2. Bring the troops home 1. Publicly and sincerely apologize to Thomas Massie and his wife in the Oval Office Anything short of this means his legacy is toast and Republicans are cooked in ‘28. What are your top 10? I’d love to see them!

Hey @MarkLucasUSA Why you tell veterans just exactly what the TCAVA actually does? On top of the provisions we all have identified over and over again which will hurt the combat-injured retired financially, and reducing our rates, YOU are using the TCAVA to make ineffective the Administrative Procedure Act, therefore stripping us, and others VOICES to include VSO's, from the rule making process. You bastards will have all the money and the power over our lives all by yourselves. The thought of having absolute power over the most bad ass demographic in the entire history America and the world must get your and your donor's tiny little dick's hard. Here's a gigantic 🖕from the milieu.

Not too long ago, this job would've gone to a recent high school graduate who was just getting started, saving money to build a life of his own. Today, that young man is never given a chance. Instead, the job goes to an Indian worker halfway. Corporate greed is destroying entry-level jobs for young Americans, denying them the opportunity to build the skills and savings they need to succeed.
No front desk lady, a literal fucking big ass screen with some call center indian checking me in at Kawality Inn. NEVER will I ever get quality inn again. 1 star review. Dystopian as fuck

No on TCAVA unless Section 108 and PayGo disappears. Pass a clean MRSA instead. @janae_sergio speaks the truth.
The House is looking to bring TCAVA back to the floor, this is an attempt to hurry and pass it before they lose power. Think about that, their priority is to cut the future benefits of currently serving military members. Of ALL things, that’s where they see a “win”. Are we really just going to sit on our hands and let this happen? Why would any veteran ever advocate for TCAVA unless they are being paid a BIG CHUNK OF CHANGE to do so? And, how many of the veterans who are advocating for TCAVA have 100% ratings themselves? To include tinnitus and sleep apnea? @VFWHQ is heading to DC for advocate: NO on TCAVA and YES on MRSA. If you can’t join us, you can help by signing their online petition.

The fact that an invader feels like he can hide in that station should launch a full criminal investigation into that department. No doubt they are shielding a foreign invading force.
HOLY SHT… ICE agents STORM into a police station in Country Club Hills, Illinois and arrest an illegal immigrant. Now THIS is what I voted for.

I agree with you that "Conservatism has not failed." Not only in NC but nationwide; Conservative ballot measures passed all over the country. Personally, because I support conservative values, I held my nose and voted for Republicans on the ballot. But many voters rejected Republican candidates because, more than in any other election cycle, their priority seems to be personal gain (votes, money) over actually serving the people. Perfect example: Republican candidate Michael Whatley rakes in hundreds of thousands of dollars from convicted claim-shark Veterans Guardian-affiliated individuals while professing to support veterans. These claim-shark companies cause great harm to veterans, and we see right through this kind of self-serving deception. More broadly, why are Republicans failing to #HonorTheContract to our nation's veterans? The Major Richard Star Act has been on congressional ice for six years, even though an overwhelming number of veterans and their supporters back this legislation. It also has huge bipartisan support in the House (but you were not a cosponsor?) A discharge petition, which would allow it to move forward, is about to be filed in the House. Where are the Republican supporters? Instead, Republican lawmakers seem fully on board with Chapter 20 (Veterans) of Project 2025's Mandate for Leadership. Proposed changes are framed as efficiency reforms, but veterans’ advocates widely view them as restricting specialized care and reducing future disability benefits. Now, a bill (TCAVA) pushed by Congressional Republicans would seek to implement these proposals - harmful to veterans, against their wishes, and disrespectful of their sacrifices. They continue to promote this legislation even though veterans are vehemently opposed. @DAVHQ survey explains: >> 93% support protecting earned benefits. >> 71% oppose TCAVA unless Section 108 (future tinnitus/sleep apnea rating cuts) is removed. >> 80% specifically oppose Section 108. >> 65% want the full, clean Major Richard Star Act (vs. only 5% for a reduced/capped version). >> Only 1% favored cutting future disability compensation to offset the Star Act It is no wonder that veterans feel abandoned by Republicans. And if you harm veterans, you also harm conservatives and the country. I agree with you that we need people who not only proclaim the virtues of conservative values but also live them. At this point, I'm cynical enough to believe that these people are woefully few and far between. As conservatives, we are most likely at the extreme show-me stage.
