The reason the blue tsunami was so good is because now our adversaries are Democrats, which is a pretty big step up from Millions of Hitlers. Half of them won't do anything good unless we fight them
She really is the perfect Democrat. Do everything Republicans want and then lose a layup in the most humiliating way possible
Maybe it's time to stop centering Jewish Feelings and start treating us like we're equal to everyone else
If you haven’t been reading @jewishinsider coverage of the Michigan Senate race, you wouldn’t be understanding how we got to this remarkable moment in U.S. politics right now.
Dem frustration with El-Sayed has been bubbling for months…
Now that the tides have turned we can once again center and elevate the most important member of the Senate: The Parliamentarian
In the wake of this massive blue wave, as a 2024 Kamala Harris voter, I want to make one thing clear: I won't vote for Harris, Shapiro, Buttigieg, or Newsom. Nominate them and you're on your own. I want good things for this country, not genocide or mass poisoning events
Professional political operatives hear "swing voter" and think it means a guy who's socially liberal and fiscally conservative, when it's actually someone whose mental architecture starts from a completely idiosyncratic pet issue and branches out into non-Euclidean dimensions
Yeah, I guess he should have said "quiet, piggy" and then the NY Times would think it's okay instead of being a perpetual stenographer of right wing lunatics

NYT: Susan Collins Says Jackson’s “Oh, Shut Up” Comment Reflects How He Treats Women
“I was struck by how reflexive the response, ‘Oh, shut up’ was,” Susan Collins, the longest-serving Republican woman in Senate history, told Fox News on Friday, adding that “the fact that it seemed like such an automatic, quick reply was very telling.”
She said the exchange brought to mind what she described as the “reputation” that Troy Jackson, a former State Senate president, had when he was a state lawmaker, “particularly when he’s dealing with women with whom he disagrees.”

Thank you Engels for writing The Origin of the Family, Private Property, and the State and tesching me the term "reproductive labor"
"This pales in comparison to my strategy of letting Trump win every swing state and letting Republicans control SCOTUS, the House, and the Senate"
Shane Gillis has always been a chud, a pig, and an oaf. In that order
oof...Shane Gillis's very awkward SNL opening monologue included him calling women whores for wearing shorts at the gym + an anecdote about using Joe Rogan's personal sauna, in which Theo Von said he "looked like a gas station egg"
he ended the monologue by saying "you're either gay or you're Hitler, and isn't that where we're at as a country?" which kinda confused the audience, so he literally had to say, "hey, that was the monologue, ladies and gentlemen"
here's the first joke: "I haven't been to the gym in so long. I didn't know women just dress like whores now. There's no other way to describe it. Have you seen the shorts? The wrinkles go, like, around the cheeks and all combine at the butthole. And don't look. You're not allowed to look."
This is funny because it was obviously her and her cronies' idea, but the two underlying forces behind her refusal to accept it are that she thinks she should continue to have this job and the delusion that she's liked outside her circle of 30 fellow consultants
This is the dumbest analysis imaginable. Democrats lost because they re-nominated an 82 yo unpopular incumbent and when he had a health event on stage they replaced him w the unpopular VP they clearly had no confidence in. Voters didn’t like that she was a CA progressive, so she tried to shake that off by running a completely different campaign, but refused to distance herself from her unpopular boss. This left voters without a clear sense of who she was. She made a lousy VP pick that added almost nothing to the campaign. This is why she lost. Her ONE DAY with Liz Cheney is not. I didn’t consult for her campaign or advise it in any way, only said yes to helping when asked to moderate an event, because I desperately wanted her to win. Part of the reasons Dems struggle is they are unwilling to look facts about voters square in the face and love to pretend the world is different than it is. But you can’t win going forward if you can’t be honest about why your candidate lost. And if you’re looking to blame people for Trump winning, look no further than all the folks who couldn’t be bothered to vote for Kamala because she wasn’t pure enough for them.
