Taxpayers, Know Your Place😤 An RTI asked which PRIVATE individuals flew with the PM on IAF jets at public cost. Delhi HC: “The MERE fact that public funds have been expended on the foreign visits of the Hon'ble Prime Minister does not, by itself, JUSTIFY disclosure.”👏🫡 Taxpayers pay, but can't see who flew. Who's being protected: the PM, or the GUESTS?

Ok this is very interesting 🇮🇳 In 2011-2012 Govt of India spent - ₹ 1.02 Lakh Crore on Poverty related subsidies State Governments spent - ₹ 33,083 Crore on Poverty related subsidies Total : ₹ 1.35 Lakh Crore In 2025-2026 Govt of India spent ₹3.11 Lakh Crore on Poverty Related Subsidies State Governments spent ₹ 1.343 Lakh Crore on Poverty Related Subsidies Total : ₹ 4.453 Lakh Crore Even adjusting for inflation at 5% That's still a 4% annual increase in poverty related expenditure from 2012 April to 2026 April HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE WHEN WE HAVE UPLIFTED 496 MILLION PEOPLE FROM POVERTY? Why are we spending more? Shouldn't we be spending less now that there are far fewer people??? This is the JUMLA type of poverty elimination Cook up numbers and manage to get some dumdum in World Bank to parrot the same thing in some half baked report Classic #Jugaad???

Forget every other data and analysis. A $2,800 GDP per capita country would have significant poverty. This is plain common sense. We need to aim for $10,000 GDP per capita to think on the lines of eradicating poverty. That goal is still far away. What we show as statistics is not important. How everyday reality is for people is important.

Crony Footprints All Over IDBI Bank Sale “BusinessWorld magazine has a sensational scoop based on the internal minutes of the Core Group of Secretaries on Disinvestment, showing how rules were changed for the controversial privatisation of IDBI Bank, which was sold to Canada-based Fairfax Financial Holdings at Rs 52,878 crore ($5.55 billion) at Rs 81 per share.” @mkvenu1 explains the highly irregular nature of this deal, now fully exposed by the excellent reporting of @palakshahjourno in @BWBusinessworld.

Policymakers should experiment with living, along with their families, on the amount they claim is sufficient to take someone out of poverty. This is not a punishment. A few weeks of such living would show them firsthand how these numbers are meaningless even for daily survival. If we think that sitting in a hut and having two rotis means a family is out of poverty, it is high time we revisited our poverty yardsticks.

On the birth anniversary of Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha, sharing a piece of historic gold. 2 December 1947. India is just 108 days old. PM Jawaharlal Nehru writes to a 38 year old physicist about atomic energy. "We are anxious to help you in every way in developing atomic energy in India." He doesn't make empty promises. He tells Bhabha plainly that he cannot guarantee the funds. But he gives him something more valuable - his trust. & he encloses a note for Bhabha to carry to Britain, Canada and France, telling the world's scientists that this man speaks for India and deserves their cooperation. Think about that. A nation only months old chose to bet on science. A Prime Minister personally vouched for his scientist before the world. The bond between them was rare. Bhabha called Nehru "Bhai." Nehru gave him freedom, Bhabha gave India a future. Out of that trust came TIFR, the Atomic Energy Commission & the foundations of India's nuclear and scientific strength. Nations are not built only by those who hold power. They are built when those in power believe in those who hold ideas. Remembering the man who looked at a newborn nation and saw a scientific power. We are still living inside his dream. #RememberingHomiBhabha

With due respect ma’am, a notice for removal for the CEC was submitted to Chairman Rajya Sabha in April 2026 with the required signatures. It has been over 6 months and the notice hasn’t even been taken up and remain pending. I entirely agree with you that democracy survives because of institutions. But forget the ECI - when even Parliament breaks down entirely & runs as an arm of the Executive, the Opposition has no option left.
Indian democracy like every other democracy survives because of institutions. A vital one is the Election Commission. However flawed the Chief Election Commissioner he cannot be impeached by ‘the public’. The Congress party should desist from going ahead with this childish charade.

Mishti Momos, Chikni Aatma - the potential multi-million investor of Madhya Pradesh. Was clearly underestimating CM Mohan Yadav!
Newslaundry accessed and examined the list of investment proposals that were mentioned in Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav’s February reply. Its biggest entry, worth Rs 3 lakh crore, is from a company set up less than eight months before the summit, which ended its first year with Rs 10,556 in cash and bank balance.

Unreal scenes at railway stations across Maharashtra, Karnataka, UP, MP and beyond! People are boarding trains two days in advance, all heading to CHALO DILLI! 😳🔥 This is clearly something the Modi government never anticipated. They were reportedly planning to halt trains on the 31st, but the people’s determination has thrown their calculations completely off track! The movement is unstoppable! ✊

Dear Finance Minister Madam, You want to lecture Congress about banking corruption? Then explain YOUR record. 1. ₹48,021 crore in bank frauds reported in FY2025-26, up 46% in ONE YEAR. RBI figures, not Congress propaganda. 2. YES BANK collapsed into an RBI moratorium in 2020, after SIX YEARS of Modi's government. Where was your legendary supervision? 3. IDBI wasn't rescued by Modi's personal brilliance. LIC, a public-sector insurer, infused ₹21,624 crore. The government subsequently approved another ₹4,557 crore in 2019. Public money helped repair the balance sheet. 4. You boast about IDBI's recovery. Fine. But why pretend recapitalisation, provisioning and regulatory intervention are proof that political interference has disappeared? 5. Your government now proposes selling 60.72% of IDBI for ₹52,878 crore. The public deserves a full account of the investment, recoveries and valuation. 6. Your claim that banking fraud and pressure have disappeared is absurd. RBI's latest figures demolish that fairy tale. You invoke 1957 and 1976 to escape scrutiny of 2026. Congress must answer for its banking failures. BJP must answer for its own. A history lesson is not an audit. And a government press release is not a certificate of innocence. Stop confusing public-sector recapitalisation with personal achievement. @grok - Pls tell me my numbers are reasonably ballpark....this is the finance minister I am responding to here

A team of experts free from political bias needs to travel across India to understand what our poverty actually looks like on the ground. Headline numbers must be examined carefully. I once did this exercise for Shamika Ravi. Last year, the Indus Valley report observed that around 80% of Indians have negligible or zero ability to spend on discretionary goods. Rama Bijapurkar is widely regarded as one of the most reliable experts on Indian consumption. Her consumer segmentation: L5 (Affluent): Annual household spend of ₹11.24 lakh+, covering just 25 million people L4 (Resilient): ₹5.4 to 7 lakh, covering 71 million people L3 (Real Middle): ₹3.8 to 5.4 lakh, covering 200 million people L2 (Strained Mass): ₹2.2 to 3.8 lakh, covering 432 million people L1 (Vulnerables): ₹1.1 to 2.2 lakh, covering a massive 707 million people These figures refer to household expenditure, not individual spending. Taken together, L1 and L2 account for nearly 80% of India’s population. For them, everyday life is a constant struggle. They are living on the edge. The others are not living in luxury, but the scale of vulnerability at the bottom is stark. 80% of the country is just surviving and that too with great difficulty. Over the years I have shared extensive data on income, expenditure, wealth and poverty. We see only what we want to see. We simply refuse to face reality.

Ok confusing:- Under Congress - The Indian Army marched to within 20 Km of Lahore in 1965 - Pakistan was brutally defeated in 1971 and financially torn to pieces in 2011 Under BJP - Pakistan became heroes in 2025, signed 3 Military alliances in 2026 , made a record $ 38 Billion in remittances , got 2 IMF approved packages and had their COAS have lunch at the White House with the President of the USA Why would Pakistanis support the Congress? Would they not LOVE and be GRATEFUL to the BJP? 🤔🤔🤔
