Hope we get the balance of the attack right today. Amad being out is really not ideal, I’d like to see Lacey starting at RW whilst he’s out with Mbeumo/Šeško sharing minutes at CF. Although we scored 5 last week, not keen on the Mbeumo RW and Cunha CF dynamic.

Talked about him before, but don’t think it’ll be long before we see Christos Tzolis in a T5 European league — wouldn’t be surprised if it’s in the Premier League in 2026.

Greece have got some mega talent.
Which clubs will Konstantinos Karetsas and Christos Tzolis be at come next summer?
I suspect big clubs in the T5 leagues — once again the Belgian league is great development league for young players.

I’d go for Olise. Neto is a good option but signed new contract and would be quite expensive.

Michael Olise is just a brilliant player isn’t he. Does the basics required of a winger but so much more in terms of creative ability. Lovely dribbler, retains under pressure well, picks out players in space. Also really clever runs into space himself — notices where he can hurt the opponent. Has the work rate/pressing intensity off the ball to match.
That type of profile is needed, probably need two new wingers, he should be one of them, as long as there’s no long term injury worries.

So unlikeable. As a United fan, these are far more unlikeable than Klopp’s Liverpool and obviously Pep’s City teams. At least you could respect those teams for the way they tried to play and the brilliance of the players.
I can’t respect anything about this current Arsenal team.

United often going into the start of the season with intentions to full/repeatedly press without the capacity to.
Preseason factors such as shorter duration, extensive travel, players arriving late to camp, key signings at the end of the window result in the team being unfit and lacking match sharpness.
This affects execution of strategy-tactics on the pitch.
By the first international break in October this usually stabilises (for all teams). But a preseason closer to home mitigates some of those factors and allows to the squad to prepare better.
An important change long overdue.
"I wasn't a player long under Erik ten Hag but of course you experience a little bit of his ideas."

This approach to solve build up with timely movements diagonally stepping across into the space ahead to bypass 1st line of pressure is executed uniquely by few.

Barcelona killing Newcastle’s m2m:
•Reset + switch to overloaded left → m2m unsettled & roles disrupted.
•Yamal & Raph narrow, Cancelo high & Lewa deep → free the halfspace.
•Anticlockwise Lewa–Fermin rotation → open diagonal lane + attack the HS.teapawt.net/brnswi/status/20343553…
It's been widely reported Carrick has shortened the duration of training prioritizing short & intense sessions. Not a bad idea for a team with congested fixtures but not for us now. Last 3-4 games the fitness issues were apparent where they looked rusty & lethargic.

3 different situations, 3 different solutions from Anderson.
•Provides the underlap + 1v1 efficiency.
•Shows for the ball, receives on the back foot & shifts out to find the around pass.
•Scans, turns & sets the perfect weight on the long ball.

I’m sorry but if these are the league leaders, we’re in a sad, sad state as a Premier League.
Recurring theme, just not deserving of a PL title putting these types of performances in consistently, especially away from home.
