LCA is working hard with our elected officials, city staff & social services to dramatically change the way we help our vulnerable. Mega shelters concentrated in a small area are not the solution: small-scale emergency housing located in EACH of our 24 wards, along with services.
So sorry to read this. We were out of the country for 9 yrs, and when we moved back to Ottawa 6 yrs ago, we noticed significant decline, eg the Byward Market. Then the pandemic hit & of course the LRT disaster. Do you mind sharing your main reasons for your dissatisfaction?

Everyone living in Ottawa has had the specter of conflict, intimidation, and anger hanging over our city and our lives. That environment has a strong negative impact on everyone but decidedly more so on individuals in vulnerable situations. ottawa.cmha.ca/news/an-open-…
