Russia has forcibly abducted and transferred thousands of Ukrainian children and sent them to Russian re-education camps. Some children have been subjected to forced adoptions. This is a gross violation of human rights and breaks international law.
Breaking: The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin over the forced deportation of children from Ukraine on.wsj.com/3YVifrV

PSA for pastors: Download free PDF of Carson's DIFFICULT DOCTRINE OF THE LOVE OF GOD here. - Your congregation needs you to teach them about God's love. - Teens esp need it. - This book is crucial. - It's the exegetical backdrop for my book Rule of Love. mailchi.mp/crossway/the-diff…

It has been an excellent day, but this video of my brother @ReganBlntonKing baptising a frail and elderly woman who is newly trusting in Christ, then picking her up and carrying her out of the baptismal pool, has made it. Blessed be the Lord!

A few thoughts on this video from @jaketapper with Michael Beckerman from @tiktok_us. First, well done to Jake for asking the question and pressing. We need more of this.

I didn't know there was such a thing as National Author's Day. But also...of course there is. Grab a copy of my wife @CathParks' wonderful book, REAL, from @thegoodbookusa. Use the code to get 30% off.

Folks who've ministered in working classes know this by experience: The people slipping thru the cracks of religious community & practice ("nones") are not necessarily those w/ degrees & professional status like we've been told. Why? I've got a few theories...
Replying to @ryanburge
This is the Nationscape survey. Total sample size is 477,255. There are over 9000 respondents with doctorates in this sample! And guess who is the least likely to be nones? Those with a master's degree. The most likely? Those who didn't finish high school.

Any legislator who voted for the Women's Health Protection Act supports abortion throughout pregnancy. The bill DID NOT codify Roe, it went much further. It legalized abortion with no limits and provided protections for abortion providers, not women. #readthebill

PS. There are people I love who still work for World. It's leadership that has chosen to go this way. They can change course anytime! Also if you want to read Harvest's (then a World reporter) gripping account of being there Jan 6: thedispatch.com/p/what-it-wa…

World’s latest cover story is by Larry Schweikart, a guy who called Jan 6 “Patriot Day” where politicians “fled like little children.” World had a reporter in danger inside the Capitol that day. Our staff prayed for her. It saddens me to see this direction.

I thought it was just my incredibly niche timeline of Southern Baptists thrown together with Anglicans ... but apparently not. David and Bathsheba are trending. A few points that I'm not hearing clearly enough: a 🧵1/

Had a long call with a friend yesterday about “platform” and ministry. A few things came out of that call felt worth sharing: 1. Ministry isn’t supposed to be a platform. Pastoring isn’t a platform. It’s serving. It’s shepherding a specific group of people. It’s foot-washing.

(1/7) Here is some commentary on the new @Guttmacher abortion data from 2020. The news is not good for pro-lifers. The abortion rate went up 7% between 2017 and 2020. Overall 28 states saw their abortion rate increase during this time.

Watching the livestream of the SATF vote at #SBC22 brought me to tears of relief and gratitude. I'm so thankful for all who labored over the past few years to bring us to this point, and so sorry to survivors that it took us so long to get here.

If anyone was looking for an excuse not to deal with sexual abuse and mistreatment of survivors within the SBC, Guidepost Solutions provided the perfect cover yesterday with their “pride” month tweet. I was both disappointed and stunned. A couple of thoughts about this…
