Hey everybody...I'm in Thunder Bay today to listen. Right now, there are so many families from in hotel rooms here, waiting to find out what comes next. I've spent the past week calling on the Ford government to act. Today is about listening. I'm visiting the donation centre supporting Whitesand First Nation, meeting with evacuees and wildland firefighters, and this afternoon I'll be standing with the Chiefs as they speak to the country.
What happened here can never be allowed to happen again. The people living through this know exactly what they need, and I'm going to make sure their stories are front and centre.

I sure hope that someone’s doing this deep dive on ALL of our MPPs. I’m pretty sure he’s not the only one.
Ford's Minister, Stan Cho, billed his riding association:
▶️ $100,000 for restaurants
▶️ $13,000 for sports tickets
▶️ $7,000 for one Jay's game
▶️ $1500 for a limo
&
▶️ $12,700 for hotels (what's with this guy & hotels?)
Note: His riding association gets money from Conservative donors & taxpayer subsidies.

Stan Cho is the "fall guy" here... clearly there are many more in the Ontario PC party abusing the same expense rules.
NEW: Premier Doug Ford “apologizes” for the Minister / MPP hotel expense scandal and says it was “frustrating”
On MPP Cho: “Stan stepped down and he did the right thing and paid everything back.”
Ford was asked whether he’s asked any other cabinet minister to step down - he doesn’t respond.

“Everything is unacceptable,” Premier Doug Ford says of Stan Cho’s expenses both on the government side and the party side.
Ford tersely says that Cho is not a member of cabinet.
But the premier does not address other questions:
- Will Cho remain a member of caucus?
- Why are others like Hardeep Grewal, Charmaine Williams and Nina Tangri hanging onto their roles

MPP Hardeep Grewal billed taxpayers $27,000 for downtown Toronto hotels. Now we've learned he was also spending your tax dollars on ads in a newspaper owned by his own father.
Your money. His family's business.
Today I asked the Integrity Commissioner to investigate. If Grewal's family is profiting from public dollars, the people deserve to know.
Doug Ford sets the tone for his caucus. His MPPs fund their lifestyles with your money and keep his confidence. What else can you expect from a Premier who tried to buy himself a private jet on your dime?
NEW: MPP Hardeep Grewal acknowledges he should have "consulted with the Integrity Commissioner" before using taxpayer cash to advertise in his family's newspaper.
Grewal now faces an Integrity Commissioner complaint.

Former Conservative MP Bev Oda resigned over a $16.00 glass of orange juice taxpayer-funded expense abuse. Doug Ford’s Conservative MPPs who abuse taxpayer dollars through unnecessary hotel expenses should be held to the same standard. Cabinet resignations aren’t enough. If you misuse taxpayers’ money, you should resign. Full stop.
Any cabinet minister who abused taxpayer dollars with unnecessary hotel stays like Stan Cho—such as Nina Tangri ($19k) and Charmaine Williams ($16k)—should immediately resign from cabinet.
@fordnation cannot accept Ministers acting this way while families can’t make ends meet.
