In the name of developing a #DeerPark a well functioning park has been destroyed & in a completely haphazard manner with such apathy towards park users.

Hightime citizens refuse kyc.
Bluedart few days back asked for my adhaar to book a package. Said kyc necessry. I refused. I said u give me in on a stamp paper tht my data is safe with u. Afterall i had an open pkt, but he still refused.
As i turned to leave, he called me back.
56% of citizens hold banks & financial service providers responsible for leaking their personal data.
50% hold state/local government and central government offices responsible for compromising it.
This is not abstract. SBI has confirmed nearly 3,900 customer records (names, mobiles, addresses, loan details) on the dark web. Lot of citizens hold VAHAN responsible for compromising their personal details as they get pesky calls from insurance brokers & agents
When banks and government databases themselves are the source, citizen data protection fails at the foundation.

MoCA is likely to act on alleged discrepancies in airport baggage weighing and excess charges after BJP MP Ajeet Gopchade sought a nationwide audit of weighing machines and independent reference scales. A survey of 36,000+ passengers found 6 in 10 faced higher weights at check-in than at home; one bag showed 18 kg, 16 kg and 15 kg on different scales. Earlier Pune inspections found scales beyond error limits. Consumer Affairs had already flagged the issue in 2023 and asked states to recalibrate machines.
