I spoke to Pierre Sage for a good 15+ minutes last Thursday afternoon in Istanbul 1-2-1 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. He came across as such a great guy who has passion and ambition for the club I love he has the same goals and agenda I have that is to leave it in a better when we leave. I arrived and have supported Palace through thick and thin since 1980 obviously longer than Pierre as he was 6 months old. The people who are running our club are destroying us. If they put into the club the same amount as us loyal fans instead of only wanting to take out all would be good but they are Buisness people who are only interested in making money. They’ve employed people who are only interested in maximising profits, finding new ways of earning more money and couldn’t care less in the destruction of our values of our club. We’ve had our club hijacked piece by piece. They are not interested in our views or our identity. They are so arrogant they think they know best and drive their vision of our club through no matter what. I’m sick of token gesture groups set up who think they know what’s best for us it’s all a con they’re being manipulated and just yes people. Our loyalty is being betrayed. Crystal Palace is built on our fan base. The real fanbase not tourists or the rich day trippers that want to experience our uniqueness built on Our Blood , Sweet and tears I’m afraid that’s not for sale. You can sell your corporate packages but you can’t sell us the heart beat the grit the passion of the club. I’ve never considered not attending Palace my whole lifetime it would be inconceivable but the whole package that is being served to us at the moment is unacceptable, unpalatable and a disgusting disgrace. Anyone decent in the staff has also left or wants to leave. They’re are also a lot of good decent staunch people left in our club certain players, plenty of coaching staff etc. In 896 home games I’ve been to Selhurst Park yesterday was a top 5 bad experience , A Rock Bottom if things don’t change rapidly it’s end of . I ain’t talking about Sage either it’s the hierarchy and the people in senior positions either get in the trenches with us or go away or we’ll go away. I hope it’s not too late but maybe it is they haven’t got their fingers on the pulse like we have because they are not the heartbeat of our club Never in 46 years have I ever experienced such a disconnect between us fans and the club it’s beyond comprehension. You’ll need a smaller ground not a larger ground with all this Americanisation of our club We want our club back. ⚰️ ❤️💙🦅

#cpfc fans: Did you wear lucky underwear at the Cup Final, Community Shield, Conference Final? (No cheating at this club, just lucky knickers!) If so, consider a small donation to a fab cause below via Holmesdale Knickerelastics ⬇️ ❤️💙🦅
The Holmesdale Knickerelastics are Marathon Marching again this Saturday incorporated into the Women of SE25! Please give if you can 🙏🏻 Remember, in football, #luckyknickersmatter🩲 They win stuff!🏆💙❤️ (Financial “britches” get exposed 😅) #JustGiving justgiving.com/page/lisa-but…

The Premier League has confirmed that Manchester City have been found guilty of all charges related to breaches of Premier League financial rules between 2009-10 and 2017-18. An independent Commission found that during that time period, the club arranged "sham contracts" with a number of its commercial partners, as well as "relying on sham agreements to artificially inflate the club's revenues and reduce its costs". The statement also said that City were guilty of the majority of charges in relation to its failure to co-operate, but an exact figure was not given.

That’s an absolute disgrace and should be called out by fans of every club in England. They’re desperate for season ticket holders to be a thing of the past and without everyone on the same page, they’ll keep on chipping away.
This ladies and gentleman is how football clubs are treating their fans. I hate greed. This is gluttony. 😡😡😡😡😡

These points are frighteningly accurate. Clubs are deliberately looking at long standing supporters, taking away long fought for rights and making basic things like season tickets a weapon to remove rather than a part of "ownership" and support of the club. A study was done over a decade ago and they are right, stadiums are full of people my age, with previous few avenues for youngsters, the vibrant future of any club, to congregate together as a large, noisy, feisty and sometimes intimidating group. I'm surprised Palace owners have let it get this far because with greatest respect to a club I started at, 90's Palace was old, Surrey based and "nice". HF undoubtedly have made Selhurst a prickly place to play so their attendance is proof that embracing positive supporter change works. And works well. Going to be honest, not a fan of the mimickery by English supporters of European Ultras groups per se, we have a 150 year old raw, passionate culture and we do things differently, so that's my tuppence on the "look" of groups like HF rather than the extremely valid points they make, which I support 100%. We've just come off the $1000 a ticket World Cup, we know tourists from afar's spend is more valuable to clubs that a season ticket holder who doesn't need to spend £600 in the shop, and we know that through a cost of living crisis, youngsters are finding cheaper teams to support ( a very welcome unintended consequence of Prem pricing) or move away from football entirely. If I were shouting still on radio this is exactly the debate we'd be having tonight, rattling cages of those in power, inviting guests into squirm a little as they try to defend pricing, strategy and bringing more youngsters into stadia. Alas, the Premier League, like FIFA and UEFA want only happy clappy official broadcasters to " tell them how great we are ", so you won't find HF statement being answered by anyone relevant in football, they just ignore and ride it out. It's why we are where we are now. I hope HF reconsider, and I hope good people like @CEO4TAG can find a solution, we need more, not less HF. Football without hardcore fans, is nothing. Football without tourists, is fine. Look after those who've looked after uou for 150 years. Today, tomorrow and in the future. It's why English football IS so special.

Fifa bans England's Jarell Quansah for two games, meaning he misses Norway and a potential semi-final. Quansah was sent off for serious foul play. US striker Folarin Balogun, who was sent off for serious foul play, got one game which was suspended for 12 months...

I must confess to being a bit emotional this morning at the news of a knighthood for Kevin Sinfield. I’ve always called him ‘Sir Kev’ and it’s hard to think of a man more deserving. He showed us all what it is to be a friend. What it means to step up when people need you and he did it all for his mate ❤️ After he carried Rob across the line in the Leeds marathon someone sent me this poem anonymously and I kept it on my phone. They called it ‘Arise Sir Kev’… When shadows gathered, and hearts would break Kev knew it was time to take… One step, another, through wind and rain, Carrying hope, despite the pain. He never stopped, mile after mile, Driven by loyalty, strength… a smile. For Rob, his friend, he aim was true Showing us all, what friendship can do. Not measured in trophies, applause, or fame… But turning up, again and again. And in every mile he chose to run, He showed us how friendship is truly done.

England. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Pass it around, pass it square & back… Struggling to penetrate ‘Costa Rica’s’ low block.. If only there was a player who could find those types of passes, forward every time, available for England… 👀😅😫🦅

This might be the craziest stat you'll see all summer about the World Cup. 🤯 Crystal Palace will have more players at the World Cup (12) than Real Madrid (10). 🦅 ✍️ @sportingintel

😳 Last year, Nottingham Forest pushed for Crystal Palace to be removed from the Europa League over John Textor’s ownership situation. Palace were dropped into the UEFA Conference League instead… and ended up WINNING the competition to qualify for the Europa League anyway. 🏆 Meanwhile, Forest went into the Europa League, won nothing, and now won’t play European football next season. 🤯 Football Karma is REAL.

Adam Wharton puts in a man of the match performance despite a swollen ankle. But sure, Jordan Henderson should go to the World Cup having played just 98 minutes since March because he barks loudly at players in training. Standards get set by people who lead by example.
