Great thread. Speaking as an owner of breasts, I've long endured unsolicited comments or opinions from blokes. Guys, if your buddy does this then EDUCATE HIM because it's NEVER OK... women can shout about this forever but support from male allies is needed.

Hospitalised last summer in a single room. Took in my own hepa filter. Almost every member of staff asked me what it was which I found surprising. Just down the corridor many had Covid. Yet staff keen to tell me I didn’t need to wear a mask when I had to be in the corridor!

Alzheimer's, dementia, mental illness, any other disability, or old age does not make you shoot Black children for ringing your doorbell. Regardless of a white male's age, that will always be used to exonerate them from racism. #DisabilityTwitter #BlackTwitter

The day before I tested positive, several hours before I started symptoms, I spent several hours indoors, masked, with relatives, helping one try on a gown. They didn’t catch it. Looks like the mask worked!

The amount of people who still do not understand the difference between sickness and infection is wild. Feeling just fine is not the same as being uninfected.

As a hard of hearing immunocompromised person who can hear you fine with the mask, you should accommodate needs your patients actually have and not the needs you project (that they may not have)

Every week dozens of new research papers reveal the ways in which covid harms the brain, lung, heart, kidney, thyroid, liver, blood vessel, nervous system. And every week the mass media ignores it. Scientists are doing their job. Journalists are not doing theirs.

Stop this. Reviewers can do whatever they want. They can say whatever they want about the book. It is no one’s business but theirs.
Reviews are for readers.

extremely irritating to hear Ron MacLean calling being queer an “alternative lifestyle” in the year 2023
1) it’s not a lifestyle, there’s the same amount of diversity in lifestyles in the queer community as straight
2) “alternative” implies straight is the normal/default 😒
