I imagine it's easier to sell more merch when you're marketing to 3 new markets and rebranding a fourth. But attendance slid in '26 from '25... lol, so I'm not sure how it "went the other way."
"When I came in it was 3 years of lower attendance, lower ratings, lower merch. And every metric went the other way." -- Mike Repole on UFL -- always a big talker, always a colorful interview... @FOS

lol... see. @RepoleStable is just toying with the Detroit/Michigan market like he did with Birmingham.
I know, I know... "b-but 2029..." 🙄
That TD run in the Championship was one of the few bright spots of that game. That won't be forgotten.
Thanks for the memories, @natemccrary28!
News: Former Michigan #Panthers RB Nate McCrary has announced his retirement from football.
McCrary was a gem with Michigan for a couple seasons in the #UFL, rushing for 564 yards & 4 TD's, including a Championship run in 2025.
Congrats on a great career, @natemccrary28!
Down to 1 Texas team now. See!
My takeaway? Get the #UFL out of the South. Texas and Alabama clearly don't love football as much as the Midwest.
I guess it really doesn't mean more, does it? 🤷♂️
I don't understand the logic of keeping Houston for '26 & rebranding them. The decision never made sense for a league that needed '26 to show promise.
Before anyone tries to come for me... I have never disagreed with moving the Panthers out of Ford Field. Ignoring EMU, tho... 🤦♂️
Today was a difficult day for Birmingham, Houston, and the UFL.
Building a sustainable spring football league requires making difficult and often necessary decisions in order to survive.
To Stallions fans,
I understand your anger and frustration.
With the right sized 10,000–15,000 seat stadium for football and even soccer, I am committed to bringing the Stallions back.
I am willing to help make that happen professionally, and, under the right circumstances, financially.

Of course, @RepoleStable had to make me look stupid by killing both teams off. 😭
The USFLC is no more. RIP.
I still don't know how @RepoleStable managed to fumble the STL market in 2026.
“We covered the entire cost of utilization of Protective Stadium,” the commission chairman added. “The league’s only cost was that of operating their football team, which it will incur no matter where they operate.”
In a quote obtained from @aldotcom:
“They said the stadium didn’t provide the atmosphere they were seeking and did not fit in their business model,” said Jimmie Stephens, chair of the Jefferson County Commission. “I’m disappointed that their business model did not fit a state-of-the-art, brand new stadium, which would accommodate whatever they needed, including future growth."
Nothing official from the #UFL yet, but it is expected that the Stallions demise will be official at some point today.
It's official, the Ponies are another victim of Repole. The Gamblernecks are the last USFLC team standing.
Crazy world we're living in.
🚨 BREAKING 🚨
The @UFLStallions will not return in 2027, per @aldotcom.
The Birmingham Stallions are officially done.

As always, I'm here to piss in everyone's Cheerios... I don't want the Michigan Panthers to return. Some of it saltiness, absolutely, but there's more to it.
I'm not impressed with how the #UFL handled things in '26, and I don't want Repole to mis-handle the Panthers' return.
Repole didn't respect the market in '25, and I'm a bit salty about that fact. He put the Renegades in Frisco, but Rynearson wasn't an option despite EMU's willingness to play host? Gray turf aside, I think it's the least they could've done for the only growing market in '25.
