So pleased to meet with H.E. President @duma_boko 🇧🇼 yesterday. Truly humbling to hear him say that even in the current tight financial context, @UNAIDS must be maintained or enhanced because Botswana and other high burden countries need UNAIDS country level support. @BWPresidency #UNGA81 #UnitedToEndAIDS

And we must deliver for women and girls together. OAFLAD's founding vision was Pan-African: African women coming together to solve African challenges. In a divided world, solidarity remains one of our greatest strengths. May @OAFLAD carry the Pan-African vision forward for the next 25 years, speaking proudly and boldly for Africa's women and girls. #UnitedToEndAIDS #UNGA81 👉🏾 youtube.com/live/MdTmE-lbbOw…
Today, that same courage is needed to defend the rights of women and girls. The hardest battles are often about control over our own bodies, our choices and our futures. We must never stop speaking out against the norms, laws and practices that hold women back. 🎥Watch: youtube.com/live/MdTmE-lbbOw…

Progress continued, but momentum slowed. 32.1 million people living with HIV were receiving treatment by the end of 2025. But annual growth was 2.7%, below the rate seen in previous years. Global commitment is urgently needed to close these gaps. 👉🏿unaids.org/en/resources/docu…

My deep thanks to all Member States for their engagement in the High Level Meeting on HIV/AIDS. I welcome the new Political Declaration adopted by most countries—it is our chance to build on 25 years of progress and show multilateralism can deliver.
