12 of the 16 recent TGEs are down since their first full trading day. Median return: -27%. Quite a few are DeFi projects: • GRVT: perps, -29% • QUID: cross chain swaps, -48% • TMX: fixed rate lending, -96% Note that public sale buyers had very different entry prices so: • QUID: still up 24% from its public sale. • FOLD: up 108% from its 2nd public auction, despite being down 19% after listing. I want more good tokens to invest in. But even after these dumps only 11% of GRVT and 14% of QUID max supply is circulating. P.s. TGEs are from the past 3 months

Solana got 150ms finality. Hyperliquid builders shipped better ways to move size, and tokenized stocks DeFi is growing faster than ever. Here are some crypto apps worth trying this week: @hypurrdash: Trading terminal for Hyperliquid with private TWAPs, swarm orders and a liquidation heatmap. VWAP orders went live this week, pacing a big fill around the asset's usual volume curve. @silhouette_ex switched on perps RFQ this week. Market makers compete to quote you, and the fill prints on Hyperliquid's book without walking it. BTC and HYPE only, up to $100k per quote. @2FactorFinance: About 1.33x $BTC on @base with no liquidation price, financed by a senior tranche that earns yield instead of perp funding. Built to hold for years. Capped beta. @Trueo_ $TRUE: Permissionless prediction markets on @base where open positions earn yield in a Yearn USDC vault. @DefiLlama now shows Trueo markets on its dashboards, so you can bet on protocol revenue next to the data. @CatalystMkts_: Perps on whether an event happens, on Base. Listing markets went live this week and buy whichever token an exchange lists the instant it's announced. Size small in trenches. @paboxoxyz: Borrow $USDG against Robinhood Stock Tokens. Borrowing and liquidations pause while the stock market is closed. @Fluxion_network: @0xMantle's native DEX for trading xStocks 24/7 through AMM + RFQ. Worth watching for after-hours moves as Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon report this week. Anything we should test this week?

Where Polymarket is restricted: - France, Spain, India and Australia (and my own Lithuania) blocked the site. - The US restriction applies to Polymarket International. There's a separate regulated Polymarket US. - Canada isn't restricted nationwide. PM limits trading in Alberta, BC, Ontario and Quebec. - Malta's platform restriction only covers sports markets. 3 skills that transfer from crypto: - Stomach social criticism. Or being right when others wrong? For YEARS, media, governments, ppl around us shit on us while we got rich and they stayed poor. - Smell bullshit & being able to quickly change one's mind. Narratives shift quicker than most industries - risk tolerance. Can survive huge crashes. S&p500 is a stablecoin for us Not sure how relevant but first 3 things came to mind
What you learn from trading crypto absolutely does translate to other markets. Stocks have their own idiosyncrasies with earnings, etc. but the foundational concepts are all still there. Knowing where the demand is. Position sizing, finding the right game to play. These are the same skills you need to know in any market. The main thing that is different is that Crypto is very monolithic. The correlation between crypto assets is higher than stocks though this seems to be getting looser over time. But being able to stomach vol. Knowing where there is blood. Being able to adjust to tail risk scenarios. These are all skills a good trader can take with them. Likewise if you suck in crypto you will likely suck everywhere else too.

TL;DR on the five Defi protocols: • @mezzanine_fi: Yield vaults where you choose more yield and more risk, or less yield with other depositors taking losses before you. • @Infinit_Labs: Let managers trade for you on Hyperliquid. Their own money takes the first losses. • @iris_credit: Borrow using Aave/Morpho liquidity at a fixed interest rate. You know what you'll pay upfront. • @risextrade: A fully onchain perps exchange. Other DeFi apps can build on it, combining borrowing and trading in one tx. • @boros_fi: Bet on funding rates going up/down, or lock in the funding rate on your existing perp positions.

Learn the lesson: price is not market cap! A few things from this DeFi chart: • HYPE passed UNI's 2021 peak: $24.43B vs $22.59B. DeFi can still produce new winners while many OG tokens struggle to recover. • 10 of the 20 tokens peaked in market cap in 2021. UNI, AAVE, COMP... five years later and those highs still haven't been beaten. • MORPHO reached its price ATH of $4.17 in Jan 2025. Its MC went higher later as more tokens entered circulation, while buyers near the price ATH were still underwater. • Unlocks and emissions make 'getting back to ATH' harder. If circulating supply triples, reaching the old price requires 3x the old market cap. Disclaimer: Made with Chatgpt-6 Astra Ultra

Top DeFi news to pay attention to this week 🧠 1. @aeroxyz unifies Aerodrome and Velodrome on Oct 22. Aero launches across Base, Ethereum, OP Mainnet, Arc, Ink, Robinhood Chain and Arbitrum. AERO converts 1:1; VELO at roughly 0.044 AERO. 2. @fablesfi TGE on Oct 20, the Robinhood Chain DEX launches $FABLES with ve(3,3) voting, staking and emissions. Airdrop claims open at TGE. 3. @fhenix's confidential computing launches on mainnet on Oct 21. 4. @Kinetiq_xyz's Elysium approaches mainnet. The Hyperliquid L2 targets Oct 20, subject to the governance outcome. It settles to HyperEVM and uses HYPE for gas. 5. @Lighter_xyz is expanding beyond perps with an upcoming options product. Investor Q3 call is on Oct 21. 6. @infiniFi unveils $INFI. Tokenomics are out, with 45% allocated to the ecosystem, including a community airdrop. TGE is coming soon. 7. @StandX_Official cancelled its token launch and will distribute DUSD instead. Trading switches to reduce-only on Oct 20. Allocation checker: Oct 26. Claims: Nov 1, with no lockup. 8. @jumperapp opens a trading campaign this week for 2,500 waitlist traders and the top 2,500 Jumper Pass users. $JUMP incentives and up to $232K USDC in weekly rewards. 9. @Starknet voting on whether to research becoming an independent, post-quantum L1 ends on Oct 22. 10. @osmosis's proposal to stop new $OSMO issuance and fund staking rewards from protocol revenue opens for voting on Oct 20. At the current burn rate, roughly 2% of supply would burn annually without new minting to offset it.

NFTs are down only. Even my precious Pengu NFT. yet, i hold 0 grudge. Because $PENGU airdrop was the exit liquidity without actually selling my pengu NFT. So my pfp is now free and any price drop is irrelevant to me.

Down 50%+ on the degen portfolio after two weeks offline. Naively hoped the stock meme / casino narrative ( $PONS, $STONK, reward coins like $ZCAT etc) would at least hold valuations while I was away. But revenue went down bad: • StonkFun weekly revenue: $5.24M → $1.02M (-80%) • Pons: $1.57M → $502k (-67%) • ZCAT's two main pools: trading volume down ~66% It's risky to hold on degen bags when you can't monitor them 24/7 since sentiment shifted on CT quickly. The good news: tokenized stocks are actually fine: TVL on Solana and RH are stable-to-recovering The only bad thing is volumes still down on both. But if BTC & majors hold, I don't bury the idea that the degen bags can recover. And the first thing to follow will be increase in volumes that will bring back LPs, better revenue and buybacks with it.

Always made my best money by being early: $YFI farming, $LIT referrals etc. Only 9 days in, and I'm not early to Papertrade anymore. Early farmers got 100 PAPER per $1 of eligible losses. Now just ~11. Just feels like I'm an exit liquidity. No? A $1000 losing trade now gets me ~10.7k PAPER. Stake it and I'd get ~$2.60 to $4.90 per day if recent payouts continued. 200 to 385 days just to recover my loss. And that excludes new issuance diluting my share. So once PAPER becomes transferable, some traders might prefer selling to recover losses instead of waiting for yield. Soooo... The BIG BET on PAPER is whether traders keep gambling after farming stops making sense. At the end, the product needs to be worth using even when the incentives aren't enough. For losers, yeah, they get the token. But winners pay an 'asymmetric-impact haircut' BEFORE the additional 2% fee. (There are no funding or notional trading fees, so the cost comparison isn't so simple) How many are here for the product vs deliberately losing because they expect PAPER to pay them back? That is what one needs to answer. As Galaxy Research posted: 'Once PAPER becomes transferable, the market price will determine how much farming happens, and that, in turn, will determine long-term revenue.' So PAPER dumping could mean less farming -> lower payouts -> less reason to hold. Got rekt from this kind of down spiral a few times. My next opportunity might be buying from farmers selling to recover losses. But only if the price makes sense on payouts AFTER farming slows. So I will treat PAPER as a "revenue token" if it sustains it after a while. Trading PAPER once it's transferable seems easier to me than trading on Papertrade itself.

Agentic trading, privacy, tokenized stocks carried most of what shipped recently. Here are some crypto apps worth testing this week 🧠👇 @MNX_fi: A new futures DEX on @megaeth. Trading pre-IPO markets of OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, and Moonshot. Dated contracts that expire end of 2027, so no funding bleeding you dry. Max 3x leverage. @metricxyz: Most AMMs learn the price by getting arbed. Metric lets an oracle set it for tokenized stocks, gold, and FX, and parks liquidity around that price. If you LP, check the fee split first since curators can change it with no timelock. @UmbraPrivacy: Arcium-powered privacy layer shipped v2 this week. You can move tokens from your normal wallet into an encrypted balance, then send or swap from there, with transfers settling in under 5 seconds per the team. Deposits and withdrawals are still public, so the privacy covers what happens in between. @get_truenorth: Trading agents that scan markets, draft setups and babysit your positions, then execute on Hyperliquid, Binance or Bybit. This week they plugged OpenAI models into the router. Team says credit burn dropped ~50%. @superformxyz: Superform's stock vaults are now on Pendle. PT on superNVDA or the new superTSLA locks a fixed yield to April 2027. YT is the bet that vault yield runs hot. Under the hood, it borrows against the stock on Aave, so liquidation risk comes along. @orbiodotso $ORBIO: Discounted LLM credits through one OpenRouter-compatible key. Stakers earn $credit from $ORBIO trading fees and resell what they don't use, which is why Claude and GPT go for up to 60% off. @Zyfai_: Don't want a vault curator touching your funds? Zyfai spins up your own Safe, and an agent rebalances USDC, ETH, or EURC across approved pools on Morpho on Base, Arbitrum, and more. You pick the protocols, and you can revoke it anytime. @bordrlessdex $BORDR : Token-2022 (Solana's Token Extentions) transfer hooks can only approve or revert. Bordrless built its own Solana token standard where hooks run on every transfer, mint and swap and can take a cut, burn part of the swap or block it, with its own DEX, launchpad and bridge on top. Still early, so small size only. Anything good I missed?

What’s new in @aeroxyz? 🛫 On Oct 21, Aerodrome and Velodrome merge into one protocol under one token. 1 $VELO = 0.044 $AERO. The new Aero launches on Base, Ethereum, OP Mainnet, Arbitrum, Ink, Arc and Robinhood Chain. Voting becomes Predictive Allocation. veAERO and veVELO become sAERO. sAERO directs AERO Rewards to pools on any Aero supporting chain in one tx, gas paid on Base, and earns a pro rata cut of those pools’ revenue. A 47-hour cooldown between changes kills last-minute vote flipping. Don’t want to manage it? Autopilot allocates for you, with the first round on Oct 22. New emissions logic applies. Rewards are set in dollar value instead of a fixed token count, with gauge caps and mint-on-redeem limiting supply growth. Expected realized inflation is ~12% against a 20% ceiling. Incentives also change. Protocols no longer bribe per epoch, they stream rewards continuously. Aerodrome and Velodrome have done ~$487B in volume and $578M in lifetime revenue, and $508M of that revenue came from Base alone. That’s mostly 1 chain. Now Aero gets 6 more. Plenty of space to grow.
Aero is coming. Get ready for launch. Three resources have been published with the latest details to help everyone prepare👇

Crypto inference providers account for just 1% of OpenRouter’s daily token volume. That number undersells the edge they have over centralized providers, because they can tie model inference to tokenomics in many ways: - Model usage is connected with tokens. More inference means more token demand, whether through staking for API access, burns, or buybacks funded by revenue. - Emissions can subsidize prices, letting it undercut centralized APIs. - Compute supply is permissionless. Anyone with spare GPUs, or even a Mac, can plug in and get paid, which keeps costs down and capacity flexible. - Users and operators share the upside, so the people driving usage are the same people who benefit when the demand grows. Who's leading: > @AskVenice leads usage and revenue. Daily token demand is now >500B and annual revenue is huge, $150M > @PhalaNetwork is growing rapidly through confidential AI inference and third-party hardware. > @chutes_ai’s low prices are mostly funded by Bittensor token emissions. > @darkbloomai by @eigencloud runs AI on Macs without token subsidies, using EigenCloud’s Yukon to speed up its models. > AkashML by @akashnet offers inference on Akash’s GPU marketplace. Providers across 65+ data centers bid for workloads and push prices toward the raw cost of compute. > @near_ai lets you stake $NEAR and pay for private inference with the staking yield. Requests run inside Intel and NVIDIA TEEs, and Venice, Brave, and Phala are routing private workloads through it. > @ionet burns at least half of its post-payout revenue in $IO, and pays GPU suppliers. It’s now one of the largest DePIN inference providers on OpenRouter. > @flock_io links usage on its API Platform to tradable tokens on its launchpad. Every inference call on a model burns that model’s tokens. Users can stake tokens of the models they use for yield.

reasoning is - equities are coming off after a bull market, and june was definitely the pico top of retail sentiment; now we're seeing echo bubble right shoulder drop - equities have run the entire playbook of government backstops, bullish news, trillion dollar deals, financing - i.e the market is so used to good news its expectations are sky high - see charts below - crypto is the opposite - we've had a prolonged bear market, everyone hates crypto, everyone is leaving crypto to go to "bio / AI / etc." the bar is low for good news - and it can be a hated rally - lots of bad news past few days, alts liquidation, BTC holding steady at 80k (TBD, could be for now) - if it holds, set up looks good In an entirely logical world, both crypto and equities would absolutely nuke in tandem, but somehow, we seem to be getting this inverse scenario. Again, as retarded as it may sound, it does really look this way *inb4 btc sends back to 70k hadesland*
as retarded as it may sound, i think equities are cooked, while crypto does really look good again, as retarded as that may sound

Bought another Trezor today. Diversifying hardware providers with a multisig set up should be number one on your priority list if you haven’t done so yet. Multi vendor multisig protects you against supply chain attacks.

This is not good for the industry as a whole. We are on the same side, fighting the same fight. User security always comes first.

ETH is down 10% this week to $2,490. HYPE is down 14%. Want to buy the dip without catching a falling knife? Sell a put. Example on @DeriveXYZ: ETH $2,300 put, expiring Oct 23. You get paid $17.20 per ETH upfront. You lock $2,300 in USDC. Two outcomes: - ETH stays above $2,300: you keep the $17.20, about 0.75% in 10 days - ETH drops below $2,300: you buy ETH at ~$2,283, roughly 8% below today's price Either you get paid, or you buy the dip at your price. Like a limit order that pays you while you wait. It's also about the good timing too. After a dump, people pay more for downside protection, so put sellers get paid more. The catch is if ETH crashes to $1,900, you still buy at $2,300. Only do this on tokens you actually want to hold. Bullish instead? The $2,600 call costs ~$33. In the worst case, you lose $33, no liquidation. Other options venues to try: - @paradex: zero retail fees, options on gold, oil and the S&P 500 - @ryskfinance: not a trading exchange but like a vault, deposit HYPE, sell a covered call, get paid upfront - @SynapseProtocol: options on SpaceX, NVDA and the S&P 500 - @dreaming: prediction-market-like phone app, just pick up or down on the price. We broke down how each one works and what's still missing.

Crypto apps worth a click this week 🧠 @derivexyz Derive’s V3 is live, and the team retired Derive Chain to move V3 to the Ethereum mainnet with ZK-proven margin and settlement. You can cross-margin ETH and BTC or launch a fee-earning vault. $DRV hit an ATH as notional OI on Derive hit $4B. @papertrade_xyz Synthetic BTC and ETH perps on HyperEVM, up to 1000x with no fees or funding, priced off Hyperliquid’s mid. You trade against an LP funded by trader losses, and every $1 lost mints $PAPER, a claim on that LP’s revenue. Launch day pulled in 11.5k depositors with $137M deposited. LP dropped from about $5M to about $2.4M before recovering. $25M earned by stakers so far. Someone netted $1.28M by nudging Hyperliquid’s ETH price against that mid, so the team is now tightening OI caps; keep size small until they settle. @superformxyz Earn Stocks posts Coinbase tokenized NVDA as collateral on Aave V4’s equities hub on Base, borrows USDC against it and puts that USDC to work, so you keep the stock exposure and earn on top. Only superNVDA is live so far. It’s leverage under the hood, so liquidation risk comes with the yield. @VestExchange Vest is a perps prop firm built so it earns a cut of trader profits rather than living off failed evaluation fees. Pass an evaluation (or skip it with an instant account) and you trade ES, NQ, stocks, FX and crypto on Vest’s capital, keeping 80-95% of profits paid in USDC. Just raised $13M led by Portal Ventures. @prlnet Pearl is a Bitcoin-forked L1 where proof-of-work is matrix multiplication, the same math behind AI inference, so a GPU serving a model can mine on the side. Together AI is running a Pearl-backed inference endpoint priced 25%+ below its usual rate. @dreaming Dream is originally a mobile app for buying any token on any chain without gas or bridging, and V2 just shipped. Dream Options lets you take leveraged directional bets with no liquidations, which is the part worth testing. @TxFlow_L1 An L1 whose first app is a fully onchain CLOB perp DEX, listing stock futures next to crypto. Volume has been climbing fast, close to $1B over the past week. Worth a look if you want to find the next Variational. @ambire Ambire is a self-custody EVM wallet that relaunched on mobile, synced to its browser extension by QR. It runs EIP-7702 smart accounts on your existing address, so you get batched transactions and gas paid in 100+ tokens through the Gas Tank, with a plain-language preview of every transaction before you sign. Swap fees now scale from 0.5% down to 0% depending on how much $WALLET you stake.
