Elegantly crafted. Seamlessly contoured. Thoughtfully detailed. motorola signature 27 is designed to a higher standard.

It was @zooko that inspired this post pitting his insiders against new coin holders.
So these 200 insiders (ZCAP) set up a system where newcomers buy ZEC which funds the ZCG grants program for their pet projects, totally unaccountable to coinholders.
This needs to end asap. Time to dismantle ZCG.
context: zcash has a civil war brewing between the house of fungible capital (tokenvoting) and nonfungible humans (ZCAP council)
the house of nonfungible humans is around 200-250 OG cypherpunk email addresses that have brought zcash to where it is today.
their hard power is appointing 5 council members who allocate 8% of zcash block rewards & soft power is considerable weight of technical expertise
the house of fungible capital is relatively new to zcash but has played a huge role in its meteoric rise. their ideological leader is @naval and count @mert, tom, @maxdesalle among their proponents.
the house of humans are mostly happy to live and let live, but cannot do so since the house of capital desires their complete elimination. @paradigm is the rare investor that backs the dual governance system rather than the mono-one favored by house of capital
the worst possible outcome is a no-deal scenario with an ENS style community split. the next flash point is likely the 2028 halving and how block rewards allocation will be changed, with house of humans desiring to retain power of the ZCAP council in allocations while house of capital is in favor of dramatic changes

3 Days Remaining!!
BREAKING: New Bitcoin Fork
I am helping create a **new Bitcoin Hardfork** -- dropping this August, called "eCash".
- Your coins will split. For example, if you have 4.19 BTC, then you will get 4.19 eCash.
- You may sell your eCash -- or keep it. Or ignore it!
Vegas:
- Yes, I will be in Vegas next week.
- No, I won't mention this, on stage -- (that would be rude).
Our L1 Node...
- is a near-copy of Bitcoin Core.
- is Sha256d mined.
- forks via a one-time difficulty-reset -- to its minimum value. (So, mining will be crazy at first.)
- Yes, we will change the seed nodes, the name, the network magic, etc.
Codewise, the L1 will remain compatible with Bitcoin Core:
- We will continue to merge their changes (even the bad ones).
- The L1 will activate Bip300/301 via CUSF -- the core untouched soft fork. So, no lines of code will be changed, on the L1.
- The activation client will be published periodically (link below).
- We will do several bug bounty contests this summer.
- The client will be frozen 30 days prior to the fork.
Yes, there will be Drivechains:
- We have 7 in developement right now.
- Users can also submit their own.
- Drivechain is a vision of "competing L2s" -- this avoids the "dev capture" problem.
- These L2s are all Merged Mined. Miners automatically get free $.
- Our L2s are already capable of planetary scale, and onboarding 8 billion users.
- We also have a zCash-like L2, with strong privacy.
- Other L2s: Truthcoin (Prediction Markets), CoinShift (Decentralized Exchange), BitAssets (NFT etc), BitNames (Identity), Photon (Quantum Resistant).
Unlike BCH (the 2017 fork):
- There is no "Bitcoin" in the name. New name, new brand.
- You are getting advanced warning (4 months).
- We are replaying all txns (at first). We will release a coin-splitter tool.
- This is a permanent & sustainable fix to Bitcoin's problems (instead of a 1 MB to 8 MB temporary fix).
- Back in 2017, the BTC tech stack was strong, and expectations for Lightning were strong. Today, it is the reverse.
Video to follow.
Holy shit, I just got an insane phishing email from Foundation Devices's official email address that includes my real name and address.
The link in the email goes to an unofficial website, and tries to make you paste your seed phrase into their web wallet.
DON'T FALL FOR IT!

ELECTRUM BITCOIN WALLET CONFIRMS CRITICAL SECURITY VULNERABILITY EXPLOITED IN THE WILD
Electrum has disclosed a high-severity vulnerability allowing malicious servers to trick users into sending Bitcoin to an attacker when increasing a transaction fee.
The attack works by intercepting a broadcast transaction and replacing it in the wallet’s history with a fake transaction redirecting funds to an attacker-controlled address.
If the user attempts to increase the fee using Replace-by-Fee (RBF), Electrum can sign the malicious transaction, sending the Bitcoin to the attacker.
Electrum confirmed two reported incidents, including one user who lost funds. Attackers even generated addresses matching the last four characters of the intended recipient’s address.
The vulnerability affects versions before 4.8.3 and has been patched in the latest release.
Users are urged to update immediately and verify all destination addresses and amounts before signing transactions.
