IIHS Screens returns this January with ‘DALIT SUBBAIAH: VOICE OF THE REBELS’, a critically acclaimed Tamil documentary by Gridaran MKP. The documentary focuses on the life, struggles, and uncompromising spirit of the revolutionary artist Dalit Subbaiah. The writer-activist stood against oppression and caste injustice through his most powerful tool: music. Through his songs and public performances, Subbaiah carried the ideologies of Ambedkar, Periyar, and Marxism to the people, transforming streets into spaces of resistance and collective awakening. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with Gridaran MKP, Director of ‘DALIT SUBBAIAH: VOICE OF THE REBELS’, and Gautam Bhan, Associate Dean – IIHS School of Human Development. 22 January | 6:00 PM IST IIHS, Sadashivanagar, Bengaluru To register for the event, visit the link: urbanlens.iihs.co.in/ #IIHSScreens #FilmsAtIIHS
