Should there be an exception for passenger buses stopping at train crossings when going downhill, or faced with poor visibility/maneuverability? I get the reasons, and it’s well-intentioned, but in practice, wintertime (especially) can make it dangerous for other drivers. #mnleg

What does the #mnleg panel think about the proposed constitutional amendment backed by @neelkashkari and @ACPage_77 pertaining to education?

Last week, @PatGarofalo introduced legislation that would change where the Minnesota Twins could play. Please ask for this #mnleg panel’s reactions.
State Rep @PatGarofalo introduces bill that, if passed into law, would allow @Twins to play their home games in Wisconsin until @GovTimWalz gives the green light for games at Target Field.

@YourLegislators Please encourage the panel to react to @JimNashMN’s proposal to lift the caps on what small breweries are able to sell to-go, and on the status of our liquor laws overall. #mnleg #FreeTheGrowler

@YourLegislators Please have the panel react to the following: Regents are mostly chosen by congressional district, but outstate campuses (particularly Rochester, Morris, and Crookston) are VERY underrepresented, compared to the Twin Cities campus, and likely Duluth. (1/2) #mnleg
We invite you to the 2021 Regent Candidate Forum. Hear from 12 candidates seeking positions on the University of Minnesota Board of Regents on Tuesday, Jan. 19th at 5:00 pm. Register here: ow.ly/c3j450D7HZu #mnleg

@YourLegislators In March 2020, future Minnesota veterans homes - the ones planned for Montevideo, Bemidji, and Preston - missed out on federal funding. Where does that leave these projects? #mnleg

Given that, the questions are simple: What are those pre-pandemic levels, what’s getting in the way of reaching them, and what’s being done about it? Please be specific. #mnleg (2/2)

It seems the conversation around resuming elective surgeries is dancing around a certain number, relating to what pre-pandemic levels looked like. Not reaching those levels is driving nurse resistance to these procedures, and hospital sluggishness in scheduling them. (1/2) #mnleg

1/2: Since 1984, Minnesota has enacted a moratorium on the establishment of new hospital licenses, and expansion of existing licensed beds. Does this process make sense, especially under the current circumstances? #mnleg

@RepWolgamott is talking about fighting for people on the front lines of this crisis, first responders and health care workers, who are fighting for us! "They're out there having our backs during this pandemic, it's important that we have their backs too!" #mnleg #yourlegislators

Thread 2/2: In other words, once clinics/hospitals begin accepting “routine business” again, I worry the patient backlog will be so large, that people won’t be able to be scheduled by 12/31/2020. That means deductibles start from zero again, and out-of-pocket costs spike. #mnleg
