They weren't lying when they said you wake up one day and just don't care anymore. No warning, no dramatic shift, just a quiet, almost peaceful detachment. The overthinking stops, the emotions dull, and the things that once consumed you lose their grip. It's not bitterness. It’s not anger. It’s simply the moment your heart decides it's done carrying what was never meant to be yours to carry.

The more I think about it, the more I think Black MEN are 90% to blame for all Black people's issues.
Male kings. Male chiefs. Male judges. Male lawyers. Male politicians. Male cops. Husbands. Fathers. These guys have destroyed the Black nation.
i think I lost my spark. I talk less, I keep to myself, I've mastered distance. I'm not angry, I'm not bitter. I just don't have the energy to show up like I used to. Somewhere along the way, I slipped into this I don't care phase.

I admire how men leave when they’re not happy. They just leave and don’t care how much it hurts you. I aspire to be that selfish.

Girl to girl at some point, you have to stop letting your depression win. You have to stop sitting in the same room, replaying the same thoughts, waiting for something to change. Nobody’s coming to save you, it’s on you to save yourself. Get up. Take a shower. Go for a walk. Work on that dream you’ve been putting off. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just start! You owe it to yourself to fight for a better version of you, even on the days when you don’t feel like it. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but every time you get up instead of giving up… that’s progress.

A Gen Z joined the team.
Week one.
During onboarding, the manager said,
“We sometimes stay late during peak periods.”
Gen Z nodded.
Then asked,
“Is that paid… or just expected?”
The room went quiet.
- No attitude.
- No rebellion.
- Just a question.
Later that day, HR mentioned “growth opportunities.”
Gen Z replied,
“Does growth include raises, or just more responsibility?”
Again, silence.
- No laziness.
- No entitlement.
- Just clarity.
That’s when the team realized something.
When people say
“Gen Z is lazy,”
what they really mean is:
Gen Z watched old generation
- skip meals,
- miss birthdays,
- work weekends,
- and burn out
only to be told
“budgets are tight”
and “be grateful you have a job.”
So Gen Z chose differently.
- They don’t romanticize overwork.
- They don’t confuse suffering with ambition.
- They don’t trade health for praise.
They still work hard.
They just refuse to work for nothing.
It’s not laziness.
It’s pattern recognition.
And honestly,
after everything old generation went through…
Can you really blame them?

I don’t even talk to men anymore. I just say “Wow he is so handsome” and move on with my life, I have enough problems already.
