The traditional education system is built for every possible life path, which means it's optimized for no particular life path. For almost every life path, it's *not* the best preparation.

Some reflections about going on a podcast as an academic: 1. It's so cringy to listen to your own voice. 2. Talking about research with a precise language on spot is very nerve-racking. 3. Overall, however, it was a terrifying AND exciting opportunity at the same time.

Do you love your kids? Then encourage them to be fully themselves.❤ Don't try to mold them and criticize how they should be. It hurts not to be accepted by your own parents. #parenting

Children who have circles of security from trusted adults who'll always listen with compassion, without judgement, and help them co-regulate, learn self regulation. That's what they need to face the world, and in fact they are the ones who will make the world a better place.
