🚨MY MOST AMBITIOUS VIDEO YET IS OUT NOW!! 🚨 AFTER MONTHS, There was a LOT I cut out and had to go back to revise to hopefully stick the landing here. I cover the following about the state of DBD: - Power creep - Utility - Interactivity - TCGs? - Efficiency & Efficacy - Solutions! All with a fun twist with throughout the video! (you'll have to see!) 👀 If you lovely gamers would give it a watch or listen. Am I crazy or did I cook? Special thanks to @Revvium for feedback! THUMBNAIL MADE BY THE LEGENDARY @Torm3nto1 LINK BELOW ⬇️⬇️⬇️
🚨VIDEO RELEASE ALERT! 🚨 HUGE Balance & state of the game discussion video for DBD out tomorrow! I have rewritten this video quite too many times, I admit. But I am happy with it now. Did I cook with this sneak peak/ Shitpost?👀 ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Oh, he is just a lil guy, but It is not like he started it. OUR community manager for BHVR started this. He can play whatever he wants. So stay focused here and not try to derail the conversation. We as a community expect the company to do better and not go off the rails for something they had no permission to do. Oh and don't poke the bear of bigots got it got it.

Ah, A classic strawman argument by completely missing the point. It is not simply because someone played a game, that is ridiculous and you are being disingenuous. It is the action of one particular creator being given these benefits in the first place without proper approval. Then Said creator and their audience being problematic in their views and opinions being essentially welcomed into the community because one community manager person brought them in under the guise that they will take the heat for it, knowing it wasn't in their right to do so. To top it all off, that problematic community is now harassing community members. The community has a right to question decisions and expect answers when it conflicts with the companies core values they have set themselves. Do better on those critical thinking skills because it really is not a good look.

This apology absolutely skirts around the points being made by us. Trying to Frame this as an internal approval issue completely sidesteps the big question, why was this particular creator being given these benefits in the first place?? what was the reason that led to the decision? Trying to say the correct approvals weren't obtained doesn't really address any of the concerns people have nor does it explain WHY those concerns were initially dismissed (YOU EVEN SAID SO IN THIS APOLOGY) Accountability means addressing the decision itself and not just the process surrounding it. You also reference your "core values" without defining what those are or how any of this contradicts them? If these values are so important to Dead by Daylight enough to invoke an apology with that included then surely the community deserves to understand what they mean in practice! Values shouldn't just be a convenient phrase that is used to distance a company from individual conduct it should be something consistently demonstrated, which lacks in this entire situation. Threats and harassment towards employees are completely unacceptable and nobody should be subjected to that but it's important not to conflate that behaviour with actual criticism or use it to try and overshadow the concerns being raised. The community has EVERY right to question your decisions and expect answers. You acknowledge you've let people down but offer such little transparency and accountability or meaningful reassurance about what will change in the future. The community deserve an apology that dresses the issue itself and not just the fallout.
This weekend, a Dead by Daylight team member awarded in-game content and currency to a creator streaming our game. Although it is not unusual to unlock content to give creators discovering DbD a chance to have a sneak peek at available content, this decision was made without receiving appropriate approvals. Furthermore, the team member's subsequent comments and conduct do not align with Dead by Daylight’s core values. When concerns about this decision became apparent during the stream, we should have responded by looking into these concerns, not dismissing them. Unfortunately, we’ve now seen the fallout of this decision unfolding in many conversations across the DbD community. We appreciate and stand with our community’s willingness to ensure our shared values are being upheld, at all times, regardless of popularity, and we’re heartbroken at the inflammatory language now being directed towards our community. At the same time, threatening employees will never be acceptable, and we’re asking everyone to stop engaging with these posts. We apologize to our community for letting you down. We have already begun reviewing our internal processes to prevent an incident like this from happening again.

Its a response we all expected as it being corporate. You,However, must give us actionable outcomes that actually reflect and reaffirm the core values you set and for us as a community to rally behind. The relationship and goodwill the company has earned has been spent for some time now regarding the games health and promises. It is imperative you demonstrate you actually stand on principles and not be preformative about it. I would be remiss if I didnt mention that a sizeable number of players both new and old have with been fed up with the cycle this company perpetuates with public relations, controversy, and ultimately game health. The last thing we needed in this current climate was what a rouge community admin to bring what they did. Show us conviction in the form of actionable outcomes and brings this to the attention with the main DBD account. ✨️Your community and values is what matters. Not player retention and stopping a revolving door.✨️

For the time being, I will be playing other games until BHVR gets it together. For stream, I believe I am going to start by 100% Alien Isolation. Also, fuck homophobes, transphobes, and bigots!

This is your sign to pivot into variety or try other games as a streamer with what BHVR is doing. Show them your actually outraged and do not support their actions. Your community will back you. Be strong. Stand firm in your morals. SHOW ACTION! DO NOT PLAY OR SUPPORT DBD!

That is exactly what I am thinking too. Just one person who made it happen but now has put BHVR and DBD in the firing line. Which just muddles the conversation, but ultimately does pose a question of where does BHVR stand on principle so readily in the spotlight.

I second this. This is actually insane what I have been catching up on. I am appauled and revolted tbh. We as a community need to expect better from those who run this game and each other. Additionally, BHVR needs to stand on principle and take responsibility. Things don't change and we ought to demand that change.

hey @DeadbyDaylight why the fuck are we willing to "take heat" over giving a racist transphobe being given all the content in the game? in what way is this a worthwhile trade-off for you?
this was in response to Peanut saying "if you dont want people on twitter to be upset, ill take the heat and you can take away the DLCs"

BHVR and Dead by Daylight just have got to be held to better standards. We’re all tired of being disappointed time and time again with nothing actually changing. Sad times 👎

Finished off Halloween with The Bride! You know, for what it's worth I really appreciate the commitment on its social commentary. It lays it on thick and I believe that was the point. What did yall think of it if you saw it? 🤔
