That boy ran from them, he wasn’t even confronting them, yet they killed him. I can’t wait to see the news of their arrest and that of their parents too.

And when they find the boys who did it, I want them charged as adults to the fullest extent!

"ẹ ku ewu ọmọ" is the Yoruba greeting for surviving the literal & figurative hazard of pregnancy & childbirth.
you're the one who knows what your eyes saw, say it! Your lived experience isn't up for debate, esp with people determined to minimize your suffering. Pay them dust
I had all these symptoms with my first, I lost 5kg in my first trimester too 🫠🫠🫠
My first was so easy, that’s why I thought I could go again. My second!!! Almost took my like..my pee was deep orange because i couldn’t even hold water down..took medications to help me eat but still couldn’t…went from 73kg to 68kg in first trimester alone..I was eating for survival because nothing was enjoyable.. thats why when people say “your kids are so beautiful, give us another one” i just want to swear for them😪

Buy the cute clothes for your baby. Buy tons and tons. They will outgrow it, but at least they’ll outgrow cute clothes.
And news flash, they’ll keep growing so you’re never going to be free of them outgrowing things.

You and your fake stories.
If you’re on a UK 🇬🇧 CoS route as a carer and make it to ILR after 5 years without issues, your story deserves to be one of the 7 wonders of the world.
A lady has spent 4+ years, with just 6 months left for ILR, she’s been dismissed over a safeguarding issue. Now she fears her DBS may be affected and she might not find another sponsor in time.
Within TWO weeks of losing her job, desperation made her fall victim to a CoS scam. 💔
Now she wants to come to Canada 🇨🇦 at 38 to study RPN and start all over again.
I’ve told her to think carefully.
Canada is not a magic escape route, and starting over could mean years of rebuilding.
What would you advise her to do? 😔

Even as Yorubas, we say “Ẹ kú ewu ọmọ” to congratulate a woman who has delivered safely. The phrase itself acknowledges that childbirth is an ewu (a risk/danger than can lead to death).
Pregnancy fatigue cannot even be explained. You’d wake up tired, you’d sleep tired. It’s all round fatigue especially in the last trimester. Then the weight of the baby on your body, your back, shoulders, waist, legs, the constant toilet visits because you pee every 15 minutes.
Also, being a healthcare provider doesn’t automatically make you the best person to understand a condition, na.
Knowing what a person is going through medically is not the same as knowing what it feels like to go through it.
You may know all the theory, but knowing the theory isn’t the same as understanding the experience. That’s where your knowledge is still limited.
For example, you may know that pregnancy can cause fatigue, but do you really understand what that fatigue feels like if you’ve never been pregnant? I’m not talking about the kind of tiredness you feel after running, shopping, or having a busy day. I’m talking about waking up tired even after sleeping, feeling completely drained by the simplest tasks, and sometimes struggling to do things that used to come so easily. It’s a different kind of exhaustion, one that can affect your body and mind in ways you may never fully grasp from reading a textbook or studying its symptoms.
You can explain the hormonal changes responsible for it, describe its symptoms, and even recommend ways to manage it. But until you experience it yourself, you can’t claim to know exactly how it feels. You understand the condition medically, but you don’t necessarily understand the lived experience.
