Its been awhile since I found some inspiration and more importantly time/energy to do any creative side project. But recently found some inspiration to dive deeper into more traditional roguelikes and proc gen stuff. Starting this thread so I don’t give up on it :)

Do it! Make it great again :) Sometimes all you need is a spark to light a flame.

Ooh nice. Need to bookmark this for the artistically deficient folk like myself :)

It’s really disappointing. To edit a deck or sheet with AI, I have to export to a doc, make the change in Claude and then bring it back.
It feels like such an easy win to not let your users out of your ecosystem. Wonder how stuff like this isn’t caught in basic user testing.

We've finally done it. We figured out a way to go back to the good ol' days. But can @RiotPabro get @RiotMeddler on board?
Tune in to MSI Finals on July 11 at 11pm PDT to find out.

I recommend a combination of making small games, game jams and study of the theory (lots of great books and videos out there). We are in a day where knowledge is not the barrier anymore. Even a simple deep query from an Llm will give you a ton of great starting points. Good luck!

I believe in our teams capability of getting the balance right over time. Things that push the boundaries and are truly exciting for players will sometimes come out not perfectly balanced. It is the price of innovation that we need to accept imo :)

Glad people are getting hyped for it. The team worked hard to get this update in!

Haha cool….would love to read a breakdown if you ever get to it. Haven’t dove into skills too much. Mostly been using it for things like shaders, refactoring algorithms/code etc. I’ve found if your game data is text based, it is pretty good at parsing/extending it.
