This past Tuesday marked my 4th time testifying before Congress on combating child trafficking and the 7th time @GUARDATOfficial has provided testimony. Being called back is an honor, but more than that, it is a responsibility we never take for granted.
My earlier testimony traced the journey along cartel-controlled border routes and exposed the failures involving HHS, NGOs, contractors and sponsor placement. This time, I spoke about the consequences for the children placed at risk and the Americans harmed.
During my opening statement, I spoke about David and Rebecca, who entered this country as unaccompanied minors and were trafficked after the system failed to protect them. They survived, but no child should ever have to endure what they did.
I also spoke on Kayla Hamilton who was murdered by an MS-13 gang member that entered as an unaccompanied minor and was released after critical safeguards failed. Hers is one of many stories showing that when the system fails to protect the child, it can also fail to protect the public.
I am deeply grateful for the team, supporters and friends who carry this mission with me, especially those who stood beside me this week.
We will carry these voices into every room, speak truth without apology and demand accountability until it comes.
This is GUARD. ✨

🚨 Thomas Wayne Markle, 82, of Lakeland, Florida, was arrested today on a federal criminal complaint alleging he kept child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including sexually explicit photographs of himself with prepubescent girls, in two Los Angeles-area storage units he rented for nearly two decades.
If convicted, Markle would face a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison.

Parents used to warn kids about the white van.
That van didn’t disappear but instead went online. Gaming chats and private apps are open doorways: our children have access to the world, and the world has access to our children.
The FBI just recovered a Utah minor after 18 months. DOJ says the grooming started on gaming platforms, moved to private apps, then across state lines.
Ask them tonight:
“Has anyone online ever asked you to keep a secret or switch apps?”
This is why GUARD exists: field research, education, and training that help parents catch it before the next child disappears.

"Can you imagine what this young girl, 17, who'd been trafficked for years, has went through? And you still want to say that sanctuary policy is a good thing? If that doesn't break your heart I don't know what does? If that doesn't wake you up, then what does? That should piss everybody off!" @SecMullinDHS

Today, I joined Sheriff Grady Judd to announce 281 arrests from Operation Polk Around & Find Out II, a seven-day undercover operation targeting child predators and human trafficking.
Predators who come after our children will be hunted down and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
This is incredible @RealSchlep! Thank you for partnering with law enforcement on operations like this.
When people come together and put their skills to work protecting kids, these are the outcomes we get. 🔥
I just helped out in a real life sting operation in Polk County florida last week alongside law enforcement with @0dayCTF
All together over 30 child predators were arrested in "Find Out II"

🚨 Portland Police report criminal charges against 44 sex buyers following human trafficking operations - highlighting why addressing demand must remain a priority in this fight.
Since June, police have worked alongside federal, county, and community partners to investigate suspected buyers and traffickers and connect people with support.
During a separate April–October outreach effort, officers documented:
🔹 555 contacts with people selling sex
🔹 139 people offered advocacy services and resources to help them leave prostitution
🔹 Criminal charges against 44 sex buyers
Demand fuels exploitation and combating trafficking requires accountability for buyers, sustained investigations into traffickers, and meaningful support for survivors.
GUARD will continue advocating for all three. Protecting people from exploitation means confronting the demand that sustains it.
