Literally. I live in a city, work full time, and grow food. These things do not have to be mutually exclusive.

My friend Matt Driscoll, who wrote about Tacoma fearlessly and with deep affection, has left behind a family he loved dearly, including three kids. Here's a way you can support them. gofundme.com/f/support-the-d…

I have no words to describe the passing of my friend Matt Driscoll. He was an incredible dad and journalist. Savor every day, people. You don’t know if it might be your last. thenewstribune.com/news/loca…

I believe that college coaches should speak out and demand multi-sport participation from recruits. If it impacts receiving a scholarship, it’ll get it done.

A news reporter asked Michael Jordan if he thought the ’90s Bulls could beat LeBron’s Lakers.
MJ: Yes.
Reporter: By how much?
MJ: Two or three points.
Reporter: Why so close?
MJ: Most of us are almost 60 now.

I go to Howdy Bagel nearly every week. They are one of Tacoma’s great small businesses and easily some of the best bagels I’ve ever had.
One week ago today, their owner and founder was murdered in a random act of gun violence while on vacation in New Orleans. It was an absolutely senseless tragedy that took the life of someone far too young at just 32 years of age.
The staff at Howdy Bagel has always been generous and kind and I’m sharing their GoFundMe link in case anyone wants to support them in any way they can.
