If the path to your ideal society depends on everyone agreeing to live by the rules of that society, what you have is a fantasy not a solution. The first question of social change must be how to accommodate those who don't support it.
My dad taught shop for 16 years. I cannot tell you the number of his former students who have told me, "The only reason I stayed in school was your dad's shop class."

The market got oversaturated with VRBO/AirBnBs. My parents live in a smaller city with a college nearby (Liberty U.). Three houses on their street were converted to short-term rentals for Liberty visitors upon the deaths of the elderly owners. Those are homes that young families would love to have.
Airbnb hosts are melting down over a new policy banning them from making guests complete tasks that “would typically be performed by a cleaner,” like “stripping the bed, taking trash offsite, or washing and putting away dishes.”

I wish airlines would just be honest about a premium seat's cost. Middle seats should cost $40 less than window seats which should cost $40 less than aisle seats. First 15 rows of economy should be $20 extra. Perhaps there is a discount for buying all 3 seats in a row.
SORRY IF THIS OFFENDS AIRLINES, BUT I'M DONE.
I booked a flight for me, my wife, and our 6 year old. The ticket total was $612.
At checkout it asked if we wanted to pick seats. If you skip it, they "assign seats at check in." Which means the three of us could end up in three different rows.
Seat selection was $38 per person, each way.
$38 x 3 people x 2 flights = $228.
My final bill was $840.
They're charging families extra just to NOT split up a 6 year old from his parents.
THAT'S NOT A SEAT FEE. THAT'S A RANSOM.

Let me make this real simple.
You're at a gas station. You use your card at the pump. The pump had a skimmer.
A debit card: Your bank account got exposed YOUR MONEY was stolen from your checking. You can usually get it back but its not guaranteed. You also might not get it all back. There is also a reporting period you must fall into.
Credit: You call and resolve the fraudalent charge easily because the banks money got stolen, not yours. The bank ain't letting anyone steal their money. Even if you make a purchase and the product wasn't delivered such as a reservation that was canceled or a canceled flight, the bank doesn't mind fighting them for you.
Interest? Not if you maintain discipline as use it as a debit card only, paying it off at the end of the month.
Bonus, a virtual credit card (G-Pay/Apple Pay): Practically skim-proof as it makes a disposable virtual version of the actual card to do the transaction.
It's not about rewards, it's about protecting your money.

I'm so sick and tired of being told "this is the most important election of your life!" I've been hearing that for 20+ years. Nothing has changed.
No Kings doesn't need more destructive protests - they need a plan for what's next. It is a movement with no leadership and no vision. (Just like the DNC that is the organizing force behind them)
And this my friends is why we talk about revenue and not profit. The Braves had more than enough revenue to cover a payroll the size of the Dodgers - they just chose not to spend it on the players. MLBPA should continue to insist that any cap come with a 50/50 revenue split.
I bookmarked this for such a moment. This was a classy way to lose, and I wanted to follow it if the need arose.
The Brewers were the better team and so I have to tip my cap to them. 🫡

Not good. I see you kept receipts! Lol 😂 Hey man, when I get beat, I don’t back down and make excuses. The Dodgers were the better team so I have to tip my cap to them..🤷♂️

As someone who was hit by a drunk driver and is getting ready for a third surgery because of it, and watched my child suffer in the hospital for days from his injuries, this kind of thinking really infuriates me. There are ways to help displaced workers without stopping progress.

Mathematician here.
This is a poorly worded question, because it doesn't specify if the coin is assumed to be fair or not.
Assuming it's a fair coin, the probability of heads is 50%, regardless of how it landed in the past.
If we don't assume it's a fair coin, and the past coin flips were done to investigate how unfair the coin is, then, based on the result, the probability of heads is:
63/90 = 0.7 = 70%

This is literally a current Major League Baseball player on the Los Angeles Dodgers calling out the MLB for their horrific commercials. Do something about it @MLB
Can we please get the soft porn ads off playoff broadcasts, TBS, Fox, NBC, @MLB? My son wants to watch baseball with Dada, but how do I justify that when a half-naked women could come on screen anytime?? This is America’s Pastime. Parents shouldn’t have to worry about this.

Didn't bother to look if this guy is a Democrat or Republican but this is the best political attack ad I've seen in years.

The owners salary cap proposal is about making more money not competitive balance
Make the owners open up their books

I’m tired of hearing about what bad things will happen if the other side wins elections.
I want to hear about what good things will happen if I vote for my side.
As far as I can tell I don’t have a side because nobody is talking about what good they plan to do for America.
I'm regretting my support for Becerra in the primary.
We asked California governor candidates Xavier Becerra and Steve Hilton how they’d manage conflicts over water. The Republican endorsed more spending on dams. cal.news/4i01Iyv
