Don’t be ICE, don’t be Antifa. Go ahead and argue vociferously on social media. Try to be tolerant and generous with your assumptions about people you meet in the physical world.

Agreed. They also want to take your stuff.
Elon Musk: You can tell which side is the good side and which side is the bad side by which side wishes to restrict freedom of speech The side that is restricting freedom of speech you know, that would have been the Hitlers, Stalins, and Mussolinis of the world They had very strong censorship, very strong restrictions on speech. That’s one of the signs that they’re the bad guys In fact, a restriction on speech and large government is fundamentally fascist, obviously. So ironically, in pushing for censorship, it makes it very clear that the left is the side that is against freedom Freedom of speech is simply one of many freedoms that we should have as a civil society because ideas should win on the strength of their arguments. They should not win because they are suppressed

LOL
Every Marxist I know reads the Financial Times, but I don't know a single liberal who understands a Wikipedia entry level definition of socialism or capitalism itself. You can't really bridge such intellectual differences

“Just followed the crowd” Extremism is a group psychology problem of weak people.
Julie, a 57-year-old lesbian, was shoved down by a male @ThornsFC fan and tumbled over two rows of chairs. All for wearing an @xx_xyathletics shirt. He later apologized and said he didn’t know why he did it, he was just following the crowd. She has filed a police report.

“Inclusive” progressives
Not only did @Outkick’s @Matt_Calkins, who was credentialed for the event and simply recording video, get his press pass ripped from his chest by security, but he was also attacked by fans and had beer poured on him.

Progressive governance ruins nice places
Businesses pay the price when theft goes unchecked.  As Attorney General, I’ll hold repeat offenders accountable and prosecute crime.

Well at least they didn’t post a picture of him with bunny ears
An elderly man is repeatedly harassed and disrespected by Muslim migrants at a shopping mall in Finland for being ‘kafir.’ They always act in groups and target vulnerable people. No one should have to live like this.

The coward @CllrSimonB has closed his X account. Don’t call his office (07973 665277), nor email him ([email protected]) to say how much you despise this POS. Oh, btw. His civic correspondence address is c/o Civic Centre, St. Peter’s Square, Wolverhampton, WV1 1RG. Have fun.

Just got forcibly kicked out of a Portland Thorns game because people were hitting my group with trans flags over our feminist shirts. Living in the upside down . @BrandiKruse

True, and good advice.
Therapist don’t know how to answer this question? Fire them all. Here is your answer: Oh, honey. People growing up have always felt this way, usually under insurmountable odds. The young always face a changing and challenging landscape because the reality of human life is that the landscape is perpetually exactly that. People woke up early to feed their kids and get about the work of their day through plagues, famines, good times, feast days, war, great loves, hard times. You will have your own challenges. AI will warp all our lives. Someone’s idiot son will cheat in you and ruin your year. You’ll have a beautiful kid or two. Life will surprise you. This is terrifying and mundane all at the same time. Everything is new every generation and yet somehow there is nothing new under the sun. So go to class, go on dates, learn to bake bread, pick a fight with your brother, go live your life. You aren’t special and that’s the best possible news for all of us.

Teens are telling their therapists they don’t believe there will be a world left for them when they grow up My family therapist told me therapists are talking about this with each other because none of them know what to say I can’t stop thinking about that

Make this photo go viral. Streisand effect.
JUST IN: UK police arrest 15 y/o boy, seize his devices, & collect his DNA after he posted photo of a local politician edited to look like a rabbit.

NIMBY on a grand scale
"An armchair do-gooder is someone who kind of sits at home in a nice home in the suburbs or wherever they live, and they say, ‘Let all the people in, take care of all the people.’ But as soon as the people show up to their front step and says, ‘Can I come and stay in your house?’ the answer is no, of course not.”"

“Real objective reporters” apparently agree.
This is hysterical. Dana Bash tells Nicolle Wallace that "real objective reporters" from "traditional news networks" are being undermined by reporters from right-leaning outlets. Because they ask "Dear Leader" question like "'I'm sorry, Mr. President. Are you great or are you just excellent?" Dana Bash. Nicolle Wallace. CNN. MSNOW. Bashing other outlets for being partisan and undermining the real objective journos. They would seriously have you believe that a Biden or Obama press conference wasn't full of sycophantic media. I'm dead.

Just such a fun chart here from @greg_ip. If only we could tease out some meaning. Ah, well, nevertheless. 🤣

This is only partly true ( 50% or more, I’d say), but ideologues tend to insist it is greater than 90% one way or the other.
America is largely a capitalist meritocracy. If you are not successful, it is because you probably do not have the prerequisite IQ level. Since we cannot change IQ, we cannot make everyone successful without rigging the system. The mass importing of low-IQ migrants into the US will only result in mounting resentment against the cognitively endowed, false accusations of "systemic racism," and demands to implement socialism to spread wealth. James Madison was correct that differences in property ownership arise from differences in individual ability. Until we acknowledge that humans possess unequal capabilities, we will forever be chasing a perfect society that can never exist.

Anti-automation bias
Let’s get this straight: at 2:30 a.m., a 71-year-old man wanders the freeway. A Tesla on FSD avoids him well, only skimming his side, but another car hits and kills him. What’s going on with these stories flooding the news?
