Once again: No one is asking for “free” stuff. We pay taxes. We are asking that our tax dollars be used to help us, instead of giving it away to billionaires and corporations as tax breaks, corrupt kickbacks, and bloated subsidies to increase their wealth and pad their profits.

Occupy Democrats 2͏h͏ · BREAKING: PANIC! Trump is DESPERATELY trying to stop Jack Smith from testifying in his own $10 billion lawsuit against the BBC. Donald Trump sued the BBC for defamation, asking for a whopping $10 billion in damages. Now, he’s panicking about the one witness who might actually know something about the behavior that led the British broadcaster to publish what it did. According to The New Republic, the BBC subpoenaed former special counsel Jack Smith to testify as part of its defense against Trump’s defamation suit. The suit claims the network defamed him with deceptive editing in a 2024 documentary about the January 6 Capitol attack. Trump’s lawyers filed a motion Friday to block the deposition, arguing that “Smith lacks any personal knowledge regarding the issues in this matter.” Their reasoning: Smith wasn’t at the January 6 speech, didn’t help prepare it, and can’t know what Trump was thinking. They say anything he gathered was “secondhand knowledge” from materials collected from other sources. The BBC’s lawyers weren’t impressed. They wrote that “none of [Trump]’s arguments for blocking the deposition of Mr. Smith can withstand scrutiny.” They noted that Smith himself doesn’t object to testifying, and that Trump still has to prove he “did not foment or incite the January 6 Capitol riot,” which he claims the documentary falsely implied. Then came the line that says it all: “No one forced Plaintiff to file this lawsuit and to dispute that his speech on January 6 incited the violence that followed at the Capitol. But as long as he chooses to maintain the case, he cannot commit the fundamental injustice of preventing the BBC from obtaining the evidence it needs to robustly defend itself.” This isn’t Trump’s only dodge. His attorneys are also fighting efforts to make Trump himself testify, to subpoena his children, and to look into his finances. Trump sued over what the BBC said about January 6, and now he’s fighting every attempt to examine what actually happened. There’s another problem for him. The BBC is funded by British taxpayers, so Trump can’t bully it into a hefty settlement or force it to back off its coverage the way he has with some American media companies. So now he has two choices: drop the case, or actually try to prove his point and live with the consequences. If Trump really believes he did nothing wrong on January 6, a deposition should be no problem. His lawyers’ desperation suggests otherwise. Please like and share if you can’t wait to hear what Jack Smith has to say if the BBC successfully gets him to testify!

Voters have watched Trump turn the presidency into a scam operation and then ask for their vote. America sees through it.

Imagine if in 1943 FDR had decided that the US would stop helping Britain and instead would side with the Third Reich. That's a bit like what President Trump is now doing by cozying up to Russia as it tries to destroy Ukraine. Utterly shameful. A humiliating moment for the US.

Dumbest House speaker in American history.
🚨AWKWARD MOMENT FOR MIKE JOHNSON! Johnson complains about how quiet Congress has been for days. Margaret Brennan immediately reminds him that he sent lawmakers back to their districts. A brutal reality check on live television.

I’m starting to think Nick Sortor is a socialist. The guy seems to genuinely enjoy being publicly owned.

I dropped off my child at school and when he came home he had blonde hair extensions, massive plastic surgery and dental bonding. When I asked him his gender he said "White House press secretary"

The message to MAGA… “The others” are to blame for everything that went wrong in your life. It was not your lack of education, your ignorance, racism, untreated mental health issues or your shitty decision making…no, no it was “the others”.

Good morning. The air is warm and my dog is a good boy. Trump's myth is eroding. Focus: His audiences are smaller, his own Party is keeping its distance, young voters especially dislike him, Hispanics are particularly pissed, and his stats among Independents is worst of all. In some places, independents are almost a majority. In his most recent rally speeches, he was raspy, stiff, and struggling; his meter was off, his energy vacillated, he was extra repetitive, and he leaned more on the podium - now that his whole lower half is braced and buttressed. Despite the polling, despite the trends, and despite being on the wrong side of hot button issues, he simply cannot pivot, cannot compromise, cannot stop, and cannot shut up. Because his idealized self (bombast and grandiosity) HAS to maintain, or his defective self (insecurity and humiliation) will take over. He needs narcissistic energy badly, like oxygen. He is disordered, demented, and delusional. He is trapped, terrified, and a true traitor to America. Have a nice day!

MAGA: “We support Trump because he says what he means and tells it like it is.” Also MAGA: “That’s not what he meant.” Then the usual cleanup crew, spends weeks explaining what Trump “really” meant. So much for telling it like it is.

Malignant narcissists cannot feel empathy, shame, nor show contrition. They harbor grandiose opinions of self and cannot admit imperfection on matters large OR small. They cannot easily reverse course or pivot, they rarely sit still, and they never shut the f*ck up. This particular malignant narcissist, who was just interviewed by Time Magazine where he could answer no questions directly, is also deteriorating neurologically and medicated a good deal of the time. I believe most GOP elected officials are performative, selfish, and know all of this. Maybe not the technical terminology, but the gist and effect. Yet all but a scant few of them remain willing to risk our collective safety, and our way of life, for a chance at power and Minority Rule in a kingdom led by the aforementioned madman. They will NOT succeed. And when it's over, and their leader is deposed, dead, or incarcerated, and their names are forever tarnished in the history books, they will come to the realization that it was pure folly for them to have ever believed they could prevail and either predict, control, or fix their naked Emperor.

The imagery is like Patton for morons.
Hegseth: "We need students of western civilization and the pillars of our republic. Leaders who understand the faith of Jerusalem, the philosophy of anthems -- Athens. The power of Rome, and the freedom of Philadelphia circa 1776."
