not to be the one oomf who's too feminist but it's insane the way sexual access to women is consistently dangled as the reward to men for any moral stance

Another day of me talking about how it’s not normal for women to go to the market and be harassed by male traders whether verbally or physically.

Last week, we lost a 28-year-old man in ER after a snake bite. Not a rare snake. Not a remote village. He made the same mistakes many people still make after a bite. He tied his leg tightly with cloth:

Culpar al feminismo de la infelicidad del hombre moderno es admitir que su felicidad dependía de la sumisión/opresión femenina

Healthcare is the only industry where people want 5 star restaurant quality, fast food level of accessibility but at road side Mama-put's price. Many people don't even want to pay at all. You'd think the resources used to treat these people are given to hospitals for free
Where did we get the medical ethics in Nigeria that allow doctors and nurses to refuse to treat patients simply because they cannot afford to pay? Why should a human being be left to die simply because they have no money? Since when did money become more important than human life?

when women say “misandry” simply hurts men’s feelings while misogyny causes women to be killed/abused/raped this is what we mean:

So we want doctors that are disgruntled and see their work as a prison sentence they have to endure? That's who you want taking care of your life?
To all the new inducted Doctors…. Sorry no USLME, PLAB, MCCQE etc for you. Your country measures of retaining you and reduce the JAPA syndrome is putting policies that will make you stuck here for 2-5years. Chin up and make a decision to write primaries …..🚶🏽💔

Unpopular opinion: Re "Chronic MOs" - While I personally advocate for japa and residency training While waiting for japa, I think we can be less condescending about those who choose a different path. And as someone who was an MO for nearly 4years before residency, medical officers fill a very important community role in the current setup of the Nigerian health care system. As long as one is updating knowledge, attending continuing medical education programmes, certifications and recertification of basic and advanced skills and reading cases and journals for new treatment regimens, they'd be fine in their roles. Not everyone will/can deal with residency and it's idiosyncrasies and poor pay and they shouldn't be vilified for that. Tone down on your personal biases and condescension please 🙏

hâlâ feministlere deli muamelesi yapılıyo hâlâ kadın haklarını savunanlar fazla 'alıngan' kabul edilip dalga geciliyo hâlâ HAYIR dedigimiz icin öldürülüyoruz ve hâlâ korkarak yürüyoruz
