Super pleased to see this paper officially published! @azeloglu visited the @AICjanelia back in the spring of 2022 to use the MOSAIC and was able to generate some nice data to contribute to this piece.

The renal immune infiltrate observed in autosomal polycystic kidney disease contributes to the evolution of the disease. This study found activation of the cGAS/STING pathway contributes to ADPKD cystogenesis bit.ly/JASN0305

Dasatinib has been linked to nephrotoxicity. In this Podcast, Drs Benjamin Adegbite & @azeloglu discuss their findings that exposure to dasatinib was linked to a significant chance of developing proteinuria compared with similar tyrosine-kinase inhibitors bit.ly/CPOD0219

Albeit with some delay, help me congratulate our lab’s first MERRIT Fellow, Tess Fallon, for winning the SB3C student paper competition!
Tess, was among the first all-women class of MERRIT fellows last summer. In her spare time from being one of the top (and select female) electrical engineering students at Columbia, she continued her project with us. And clearly did an awesome job.

*The human kidney atlas*
A new atlas called the Kidney Precision Medicine Project, constructed by researchers @IcahnMountSinai, @Princeton, @FlatironInst & @umichmedicine just dropped.

This year’s all-women fellowship class is the top of their respective classes. @womeninnephro
They will work on all sorts of amazing stuff, from quantitative fluorescent lifetime analytics to ML-based renal digital pathology to racial disparities in healthcare.
Thank you all MERRIT Mentors for your commitment to educating the next generation of physicians and scientists that will help end #kidneydisease.
Our integrated analysis was able to reconstruct the subsegmental physiological activity for each cell type along the human nephron.
And it will form the backbone of @KPMProject’s vision to reclassify and cure #kidneydisease. (3/4)

Happy to share our latest @LINCSProgram TKI cardiotoxicity #proteomics dataset now published on @ScientificData:
nature.com/articles/s41597-0…
Everything open-access as it should be: primary and metadata on the LINCS Data Portal; raw spectra available on @ProteomeXchange; all code on GitHub. Shout out to long-time collaborators Iyengar Lab, @BD2KLINCSDCIC and @Rutgers_NJMS Proteomics Center for making this happen.
To all my fellow parasites: this dataset is best enjoyed with our recent transcriptomic cardiotoxicity signatures of tyrosine kinase inhibitors out on @NatComms: nature.com/articles/s41467-0…
