Super pleased to see this paper officially published! @azeloglu visited the @AICjanelia back in the spring of 2022 to use the MOSAIC and was able to generate some nice data to contribute to this piece. Read more here: science.org/doi/10.1126/scia…

Congrats, Sunny! Amazing news.

I’ve been meaning to announce this for awhile, but the irony of tweeting out my female trainees’ successes while they are being robbed of their basic human rights was too much to handle.

Tess, was among the first all-women class of MERRIT fellows last summer. In her spare time from being one of the top (and select female) electrical engineering students at Columbia, she continued her project with us. And clearly did an awesome job.

Albeit with some delay, help me congratulate our lab’s first MERRIT Fellow, Tess Fallon, for winning the SB3C student paper competition!

Thank you all MERRIT Mentors for your commitment to educating the next generation of physicians and scientists that will help end #kidneydisease.

This year’s all-women fellowship class is the top of their respective classes. @womeninnephro They will work on all sorts of amazing stuff, from quantitative fluorescent lifetime analytics to ML-based renal digital pathology to racial disparities in healthcare.

This was obviously a gargantuan team effort, with co-authors from 15 international institutions. And I’m honored to have co-led the publication with Drs. Kretzler, Iyengar and Troyanskaya. (4/4)

Our integrated analysis was able to reconstruct the subsegmental physiological activity for each cell type along the human nephron. And it will form the backbone of @KPMProject’s vision to reclassify and cure #kidneydisease. (3/4)

We harmonized data from multiple transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics and imaging assays to construct a human kidney tissue atlas at the single-cell resolution. All of it can be viewed through our open-access kidney tissue atlas here: atlas.kpmp.org (2/4)
