MERRIT is a NIDDK-supported summer undergraduate fellowship program run by @ISMMSKidney and @cooperunion. We recruit the best and the brightest engineering students to solve some of the most challenging problems in #nephrology.
This was obviously a gargantuan team effort, with co-authors from 15 international institutions. And I’m honored to have co-led the publication with Drs. Kretzler, Iyengar and Troyanskaya. (4/4)
Our integrated analysis was able to reconstruct the subsegmental physiological activity for each cell type along the human nephron.
And it will form the backbone of @KPMProject’s vision to reclassify and cure #kidneydisease. (3/4)
We harmonized data from multiple transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics and imaging assays to construct a human kidney tissue atlas at the single-cell resolution.
