Readers are ridiculous sometimes. Yes. We've been talking about that for months. My argument is that ridiculousness is on BOTH SIDES. Writers aren't above criticism. The way a number of you "encourage/ask for engagement," is rude, demeaning, demanding and unpleasant.

Like let's ALL respect each other. You cant be demanding things you do not give. Readers are rude for the "i dont like it when fics/writers" tweets but writers can call readers everything but a child of God and its fine?? What kinda community building are y'all on🫤

I’m negl it’s kind of silly that people think that llm scrapers aren’t going through ao3
I get people being uncomfortable with people uploading their work on Google drive since they use it to train AI, but authors being shocked that ppl use the download button at the top of the page is silly to me idc

Dear German, China had no Auschwitz—that is yours. China did not slaughter six million Jews—that is yours. China bears no historical guilt toward the Jewish people—that is yours. And Chinese people are under no obligation to accept your gaslighting—your attempt to project your own historical crimes onto China. Since you claim that Chinese people are antisemitic, let us examine what they actually oppose. What Chinese people find most contemptible about Germany is this: Germany has turned its guilt toward the Jews into a moral scripture for supporting another mass slaughter. “Never Again” was supposed to mean never again for anyone. Instead, Berlin increasingly treats it as: never question Israel, never compare, never condemn, never allow Palestinian suffering to disturb Germany’s historical self-absolution. That is not remembrance. It is laundering one historical guilt through another people’s blood. And here is the crucial point: When Chinese people say they oppose Nazism, do they mean only Germans wearing swastikas? No. They mean the political logic behind it: racial supremacy, dehumanization, collective punishment, forced segregation, territorial expansion, mass killing, and the belief that one group’s suffering grants it the right to inflict suffering on another. That distinction matters. World War II did not teach humanity that only Germans can become Nazis. It taught us that Nazi logic is not genetically or nationally exclusive to Germans. Any state or movement that embraces racial supremacy, dehumanization, collective punishment, territorial expansion, and mass killing can reproduce the logic of Nazism. So when Israel imposes systems of separation, occupies territory, inflicts collective punishment, and kills Palestinians on a massive scale, historical victimhood does not place those actions beyond comparison or condemnation. Who decided that victims of Nazism are incapable of reproducing Nazi logic? That is why criticizing Israeli state violence is not “antisemitism.” And that is why “we were victims once” is not a defense against becoming an oppressor now. No one owns the category of victim. And no one is exempt from becoming the thing history once taught them to fear.
Liebe Chinesen, meine ehrliche Frage, Warum seid ihr so krasse Antisemiten? Die Juden haben euch doch gar nichts getan, ihr kennt wahrscheinlich nicht mal einen.

Yeah… it’s honestly gross to watch the duplicity of wanting the adulation of people you openly despise. Like why are you calling people ravenous consumers like there cockroaches even though they’re apparently your main motivation?!?

rest in peace javits frimpong. he was a 15 year old boy from ghana who was killed. his father described him as a shy and quiet kid. he had only been in america for a year. I get so emotional looking at this picture of him. he’s so young. sending love and prayers to his family.

Flabergasted that ppl are so mad ppl love their fics so much they want to keep them. That makes me sad.

Might be a controversial opinion but the conservation of Art works and literature should be put above all else, despite the author wishes, perhaps especially in spite of them. It's a known thing that artists are moody and look back on their past work with distain & often time -

another important point: the dove is *dead* & was found in the freezer next to human food. this implies that the tagged material could be potentially upsetting/triggering to see without prior warning. it does not say “fun snacks, do not eat.”
It’s based on this scene from arrested development, the bag says “dead dove: do not eat” and when he opens the bag he goes “I don’t know what I expected” aka “if a fic is tagged with something, do no be surprised when it appears in the fic”
