I decided to give out Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars for Halloween.
As the (I'm guessing autistic) checkout guy at @Target slowly rang me up, he held one card and mentioned that it one of his all-time favorite cars.
I tried to give it to him but he said he wasn't allowed to accept gifts.
Of course I went straight to customer service to talk to a mgr. She said that he could accept it and walked over with me to let him know.
I said "Happy Halloween!" and his face lit up with a huge smile. The other two cashiers were also smiling ear-to-ear.
I think my 鉂わ笍 got the biggest benefit.
When you see an opportunity to make someone's day, just do it. Esp when the only cost is a little time and $1.19.

Tesla couldn鈥檛 have picked a better location for the cabin air filters. Super easy to change!

Earnings reminder. Whatever the expected move into earnings for $TSLA is (16 points), it will perform the full move down prior to earnings then exactly the expected move down after earnings. Slight bump, then dump friday into the weekend. If you factor in end of last week, we've already done the full expected move down.
But if we do it again this week this puts us at 340ish Wednesday then 325 by end of week.
Doesnt that just look wonderful. Setting up for the slap in the face 420 buyout price from $SPCX which then will be a 33% premium.
The demo last night sure worked a lot better than the @Hot_Wheels setup at Target.
Who thought this up and designed it? Every single one I've seen has busted up cars, many that don't even launch.
They need to talk to Tesla and SpaceX about this and also put some Teslas in them.
Tesla cars running FSD are in a league of their own.
Nothing to compare with.
Neurolink is in a league of its own. Nothing to compare with.
Boring Co is in a league of its own. Nothing to compare with.
Starship is in a league of its own. Nothing to compare with.
This is fun!

According to @CNN, "The Wright brothers unveil what they say is a flying machine. Whether the machine is able to truly fly is difficult to say, despite the Thursday, December 17, 1903, demonstration at Kitty Hawk. It certainly didn't show long-range, supersonic flight."
CNN finally put up an (opinion) article about tonight's stunning demonstration. Unsurprisingly, it was a hit piece all the way thru. Virtually every sentence of the article was negatively framed.

I used FSD to bring my m-i-l to an appointment at a brand new medical building. Turns out the drop-off and only parking is in a ramp with a door. The car pulled up, waited for the door to open, maneuvered past an exiting car, and then parked. The drive out was handled as well.
I've got a story with a happy ending if you need to hear one 鉂わ笍.
A year and a half ago I brought my (late 80s) parents to a showroom for a demo drive and tried to get them to think about buying a Tesla. However, my sister said Tesla's tech would be too confusing for them. Both she and my parents were anti-elon, so the thought withered. They also said they didn't need a new car.
Six mo later, my dad bought a new Kia anyway. It's been a year now and they still don't know how to use most of the features because that car is too confusing.
At the same time, they've watched me and my brother buy Teslas that drive us anywhere while we just talk to our cars. I've had them use FSD in my car and then my brother came to town and spent a day with them individually in the driver's seat, using FSD to navigate all over, store to store to store.
My sister visited them and tried to convince them to use uber instead. She and her husband have major reservations about 'unforseen challenges' in a Tesla. I love my sis, but the EDS is real and what it does to people sucks. It should be more important to have your parents in the safest possible environment than to make them use uber or a car they don't understand just because of the crap media is feeding you.
Thankfully, my parents concluded that FSD is the only way forward to maintain their safety, the safety of others, and freedom of mobility, so they ordered a new Model Y. They are taking a huge hit on the Kia to do so, but know the benefits outweigh the cost.
My mom is now sad that it won't come for another 2-3 months. I'm now thrilled that in 2-3 mo they will be orders of magnitude safer on the roads.
Patience and persistence pays off, but it definitely helps when the product is so awesome.
Thanks @Tesla! FSD is a life changer!
FSD saw this guy before I did (and before others did as well). Got a thumbs up for letting him cross.
It then impressively drove by 3 people waiting for a bus at diff intersections without slowing down/hesitating. It obv tracked that they weren't attempting or waiting to cross.
