I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. Why do so many people spend years learning English… but still can’t speak comfortably? Think about it. Most of us have used apps like Duolingo at some point. You do lessons. You keep your streak. You feel like you’re making progress. But then one day someone asks you something in English… …and you freeze. That’s not a motivation problem. It’s not even a “you didn’t study enough” problem. It’s just that we almost never actually practice speaking. We read. We listen. We memorize. But we don’t speak. In Turkey, I see this everywhere. People spend years learning English but still don’t feel comfortable having a simple conversation. And it’s not because they can’t. It’s because they never got used to actually speaking out loud. That’s the whole reason I keep pushing SpeakLab. Not because “another app” is needed. But because this specific gap feels very real to me. Still figuring things out, still improving every day. But seeing even a few people go from “understanding everything but saying nothing” to actually speaking… that’s pretty motivating. Curious what you think.

Lately, I’ve been getting asked a lot: “Is building AI mobile apps still worth it?” “Can you still make money from it?” “Is it too late to start?” A lot of people think this industry is easy. They see growth screenshots, users, revenue, and think anyone can do it. And yes, with AI and vibe coding, building an app is easier than ever. But coding is the easiest part. The hard part starts after you launch. You can build the best product in the world, but users will not come by themselves. You have to find them. You have to market it. You have to understand why they leave. You have to improve the smallest details again and again. Sometimes the feature you spent weeks building is the thing nobody uses. And sometimes the tiny detail you almost ignored is the thing users care about most. At the beginning, everyone is excited. You imagine the future, the users, the downloads, the money. But the real test starts when that excitement disappears. When users are not coming. When users come, but no money comes. When you stop seeing the “fun startup part” and start seeing the hard reality behind it. That is when most people quit. Because that is the part nobody posts on social media. The weeks where you feel stuck. The months where you feel like you are working for nothing. The nights where you question everything. But if you keep going in that moment, that is usually when things finally start to change. Sometimes that happens after a few weeks. Sometimes after a few months. And sometimes it does not happen. Curious what you think about this. Please share your thoughts in the comments🤩👇

I want to grow Bug AI, but not just by hiring people. I want to meet people, exchange ideas, build connections, and maybe create something together. Maybe we work together one day, maybe we just become friends, maybe we simply help each other grow. Right now, I’d especially love to connect with: • Marketing / Growth • Influencers & Social Media • Advertising Managers • Backend Developers • Android Developers • UI/UX Designers • People interested in investing • Anyone interested in AI, mobile apps, startups, or building things You definitely don’t need to be looking for a job. Even if you just want to network, exchange ideas, talk about startups, or share what you’re working on, I’d love to connect. If that sounds like you, feel free to send me a DM 🚀

SpeakLab is back in the rankings 🇹🇷 Today, on April 2, SpeakLab reached #216 on the Turkey App Store again. A few months ago, this was just an idea. Now thousands of people are using an app we built to help them start speaking a new language with AI. Still a long way to go, but every ranking, every user, and every message reminds us why we keep building. Big things are coming with SpeakLab v5.0 👀

Been quietly rebuilding my English learning app for the last few weeks. SpeakLab v5.0 is almost here. The best AI tutors we've ever built — smarter, more human, and with our most advanced voices yet. You’ll be able to learn English from Turkish, Spanish, Hindi, Filipino, and even from English itself. Completely new design, real conversations, and an experience that finally feels like learning with an actual tutor instead of an app. Really excited for this one.

8 hours building, marketing, creatives, ads, App Store stuff. worked from 2 different cafés ☕️ padel at 11pm small progress every day. life is good.

honest question: i’m active every day on X. blue check. building in public. sharing revenue, MRR, app launches, everything. still stuck at low views + low follower growth. for anyone who has grown an account before: what was the thing that finally made your posts take off? trying to get from 29 followers to 1,000. any advice would mean a lot.

i built this app because learning spanish felt way too slow. so i made something different. you just open it and start speaking with ai. no memorizing. no boring lessons. + you can learn in a gamified way with rojo 🐦 it’s called Vamos ai. Lemme know what you think🙌🙌

These days are the best. New subs are all that matter.

Seeing quite a few billing errors and trial cancellations across my iOS apps in RevenueCat lately. Some renewals go through normally, but many trials cancel before converting. Curious if other indie iOS founders are seeing a similar pattern recently, or if this is something specific to my funnel.

That moment when a RevenueCat notification appears… You think: “New subscriber!” You open it: Billing Error. My whole day is ruined 🫠😓🥹

SpeakLab AI just appeared in the rankings in another country. This time: Philippines 🇵🇭 Love seeing the app slowly appear in different markets.
