🚨 *SECRET MINISTERIAL ORDERS* 🚨
Some very smart people in 🇨🇦 have been sounding the alarm on this for months. Read this 👇, watch the full hour plain language Q&A with qualified lawyers at the SECU👇 @privacylawyer , read the @cancivlib statement and sign their petition 👇
Canada’s Bill C-22 would force telecoms and messaging apps to keep six months of metadata on every citizen, whether or not they’re suspected of anything.
Cabinet will decide who has to comply and how, with the first regulations due up to two years after it becomes law.
Companies can be fined $250,000 a day for not obeying secret ministerial orders.
The minister insists it isn’t about surveilling honest Canadians. Signal would rather leave the country than find out, and Windscribe is packing too.
The bill is now with a Senate committee, which is the last place anyone can change it.

Both the Federal government and Career Colleges Ontario, warned the Ford government that some private career colleges were abusing OSAP.
But Ford shoveled almost a billion dollars to the suspect career colleges last year—the same ones whose Directors and Executives donated a $150,000 to the Ford Conservatives.
The @OntarioNDP has asked for Ford's Minister of Colleges and Universities to resign.

This happened to me just the other night when my son went to type a report for school. Care to explain, @Microsoft?
This is why people hate greedy, unethical @Microsoft. They’ve just installed an update on the computer of every user of Mac @Office 2021 that bricks Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.
We all have perpetual licences for Office 2021 but apparently Microsoft decided it was time to try to make everyone pay them money, even though the licence was supposed to be a one-off purchase.
After some trial and error, this fix worked for me – posting here for anyone having the same problem:
1. Delete the Office apps (Word etc.) from the Applications folder
2. Download and run the Microsoft licence removal tool: go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?lin…
3. Download and install the version of Office for Mac from 6th October 2026: learn.microsoft.com/en-us/of…
4. Enter your original licence code for Office to activate it
5. In the Finder, go to Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Microsoft and delete the MAU2.0 folder
6. Open Word, then go to the Word menu, then About Microsoft Word and check that it shows your licence
7. Still in Word, go to the Help menu, and make sure that the Check for updates option isn’t there
8. Don’t update Office for Mac and it should keep working – you need to keep updates off or Microsoft will install an update that bricks Office all over again
What a waste of time.

It's an antisemitic conspiracy theory to say that the ADL is an Israeli spy organization, but they are literally admitting they are an "intelligence" operation that is spying on Americans and punishing them if they speak out against Zionism and Israel.

Wow!
Canadian journalist asks Moshe Feiglin, a former Likud Member of Knesset, if he is concerned about Israel's plummeting global standing.
Feiglin's response is chilling, as it reveals the fundamental supremacist view he and many in Israel hold.
He says that the real moral supreme court is in Israel, ie with the people of Israel.
The Bible says, he explains, that those who bless Israel will be blessed, and those who curse Israel will be cursed. As a result, it's we - Israelis - who get to judge you, rather than you judging us.
And then he adds?
"Are you with the children of God or not?"

France’s Prime Minister sent a letter to Orange, SFR, Free and Bouygues telling them to prepare to block TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram and X for up to 12 hours if protests flared again. He asked them to keep it confidential.
The government wanted the order delivered privately to each company, with nothing in the official journal. The public would get a press release 30 minutes before the block went live.
It was the operators’ lawyers who asked whether shutting down four platforms nationwide was necessary or proportionate. Orange insisted on a formal, signed order.
France’s top administrative court ruled the 2024 TikTok block in New Caledonia illegal last year. The government drew up a bigger one anyway. Staff were on call all weekend. Nobody pulled the switch this time, but they built it ready for the next one.

Russell Brand’s trial is devastating. Testimony describes him as a rabid animal, demanding sex every few hours from whoever happened to be around, and taking it regardless of consent
Brand’s defense is that women knew he was a degenerate maniac, so they should have expected it by being in a room with him (several allege he attacked them in public and tried to drag them into bathroom stalls)
This is separate from FIVE disturbing allegations in Channel 4 Dispatches. Brand has zero regard for women as human beings - I can’t even imagine how many victims there truly are
Blows my mind that so many people peddle his lunacy portraying him as a truth-telling martyr being smeared by the establishment - and buy his newfound religious hucksterism
Makes sense he’s leapt into the movement of sexual offenders and pedophiles, where he belongs (other than prison)

“It’s time to colonize Haiti”, noted a recent UK Spectator column. According to Bruce Gilley, Canada should oversee “a formal UN trusteeship over the country.”
The Montreal raised, University of Toronto graduate, demonstrates a scarcity of imagination in making his colonialist appeal. Highlighting an openly colonial streak in Canadian politics, prominent voices have repeatedly promoted formally usurping Haitian sovereignty. “The only way to save Haiti is to put it under UN control,” noted a 2022 Globe and Mail headline. In 2014 right-wing Quebec City radio host, Sylvain Bouchard, told listeners, “I would transform Haiti into a colony. The UN must colonize Haiti.”
Two years later another Quebec City radio host, André Arthur, labeled Haiti a “hopeless” and “sexually deviant” country populated by thieves and prostitutes that should be taken over by France as in the “heyday of colonial Haiti” (“belle époque de l’Haïti colonial”). “There is no hope in Haiti until the country is placed under trusteeship”, bellowed the former Member of Parliament in 2016. “We will never dare to do it, political correctness, it would be racism to say: So you say to France: … ‘For the next thirty years, you are the owner of Haiti, put it right. Kick the asses that need to be kicked.”
During the 2003 “Ottawa initiative on Haiti” conference to plan the ouster of elected President Jean-Bertrand Aristide US, French and Canadian officials discussed putting the country under UN trusteeship while a 2005 Canadian Military Journal article was titled “The case for international trusteeship in Haiti”.
In the US edition of the Spectator - “the oldest continuously published weekly magazine in the English language” - Gilley lays out a startlingly biased portrayal of Haiti’s revolution and subsequent history. The Portland State University professor writes, “If only the rebels had waited. The abolition of slavery within the French empire came in 1794. But by then, Haiti was already hurtling towards misery under its new rulers.”
It was the Africans of Saint Domingue freeing themselves that spurred the French to (temporarily) abolish slavery.
After winning their liberation from slavery and colonial rule in a war that killed half the population over thirteen years, Haitians were forced to pay their former masters an astronomical sum for their freedom. Under threat of invasion and the restoration of slavery, Francophile Haitian president Jean-Pierre Boyer agreed in 1825 to pay French slaveholders 150 million francs for lost land and now free Haitians.
In a remarkable inversion, Gilley calls a ransom that took the beleaguered country a century to pay as helping Haiti “get its house into order.” The author of a controversial 2017 Third World Quarterly article headlined "The Case for Colonialism", claims “the indemnity was the only thing that prevented Haiti from sliding into pure dysfunction in the 19th century.”
While calling for a UN trusteeship, Grilley ignores the abuses of the 2004-2017 United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), which consisted of 8,000 foreign troops and 2,000 police (a smaller UN force remained for several more years). After helping oust thousands of elected officials in 2004, 500 Canadian soldiers were incorporated into MINUSTAH as it backed up a coup government’s violent crackdown against pro-democracy protesters between March 2004 and May 2006. The UN force also killed dozens of civilians directly when it pacified Cité Soleil, a bastion of support for Aristide. The UN force was responsible for innumerable sexual abuses and its disregard for Haitian life caused a major cholera outbreak, which left over 10,000 dead and one million sick.
The UN occupation introduced a form of multilateral colonial oversight to Haiti. The April 2004 Security Council resolution that replaced the two-month-old US, France and Canada Multinational Interim Force with MINUSTAH established the Core Group, which includes representatives of the US, Canada, France, Spain, Brazil, OAS, EU and UN. The Core Group periodically releases collective statements on Haitian affairs and meet among themselves and with Haitian officials. It’s a flagrantly colonial alliance. After President Jovenel Moise was killed in 2021, for instance, the Core Group effectively appointed Ariel Henry prime minister through a tweet.
Last year the UN approved a foreign Gang Suppression Force for Haiti. After four El Salvadoran troops were killed a week ago that country has quickly deployed upwards of 1000 troops to Haiti. Its authoritarian President, Nayib Bukele, is using bellicose language, which echoes Gilley’s call for a “Rambo” mission that should tell the gangs we “will wipe you out.”
Those calling for foreign control of Haiti ignore its loss of sovereignty since the 2004 coup. By what standards was the usurpation of Haitian sovereignty successful? By basically any metric, 22 years of US/Canada, UN, Core Group influence in Haiti has been a disaster. But imperialists don’t simply ignore the damaging impact of foreign intervention. In a stark demonstration of how power affects ideology, the more Haitian sovereignty is undercut the more forthright the calls to usurp Haitian sovereignty.
