“Arabs don’t produce literature” is really something you can only say if you’ve never had a moment’s contact with genuine civilization. A mind totally consumed by television and self-help books.

One reason we may not see a lot of visible productivity increases from AI is that a lot of people are going to get more free time from automating their work but spend the extra time watching short form video and other forms of algorithmic addictive leisure
$META CEO: ""On Instagram, global time spent per user reached an all-time high and grew double digits year-over-year in Q3, with strength across both Reels and Feed. On Facebook, Reels time spent reached all-time highs both globally and in the U.S., with both growing double digits year-over-year. Threads also continued to scale, with time spent per user growing over 20% year-over-year.""
I stand my ground in saying that GrokBot (or equivalents i tried for all it matters) are just a slop productivity factory made to make you feel busy, while your actual productivity is cratering.
This is f*cking insane. SpaceXAI senior engineer (ex-Cursor):
"99% of people open one GrokBot, ask it a question and close the tab
I run 50+ GrokBot agents like a company. A Chief of Staff runs my day, 3 PMs hand out the work, 40+ workers ship it overnight, and I just check the results over coffee. That team does the job of 20 engineers"
In this 1-hour workshop, SpaceXAI builds that GrokBot team from scratch, step by step
GrokBot → Chief of Staff → PMs → 40+ Workers → Autonomous Company
At SpaceXAI, 97% of engineers already run a team like this, and the ones who do are getting $750K+ offers. The rest are about to compete with them
Worth more than any $5,000 agentic engineering course

(asking purely out of curiosity)
how popular is this vision of the future within openai/anthropic/gdm?
hearing the word post-economic makes me want to give up on life
We're living in a horrifying, fascinating new era of Silicon Valley where:
1. You can build a startup in 9 months, get acquired (but rly acquihired) by OpenAI, Anthropic, or Cognition, and walk away a multi-millionaire
2. You can join the right company at 22 and become effectively post-economic
And I don't think we've even begun to grapple with the degree to which this is warping an entire generation's relationship with money, ambition, work, and success.
When your peers are making generational wealth before 25, what does a normal career even look like anymore

They extract all of the person’s wealth until they qualify for medicaid, at which point the state pays for whatever time they have left. This is explicitly the business model. This will become extremely politically salient in the coming years.

pro tip: if you have a coding interview you can now just say you would encode the problem as 3-SAT and solve it in subexponential time

Anthropic listed OpenAI and Google as the primary competitors in their field which is correct but they also should have listed Meituan because it both would have been really funny to pick a random smaller lab and it would have been incredible to watch people learn Chinese DoorDash has an ai lab
why are people trusting a non tier 1 uni prof on this blech have some standards

As a U.S. immigration attorney, I occasionally get (and have to refer out) outbound immigration requests from U.S. citizens. The amount of shocked faces I get when I explain “Yeah, so every country has their own immigration laws,” is honestly so funny, lol

They'd rather sit back in the cuck chair and let LLMs live their lives for them than admit that maybe our chosen struggles have importance beyond the "intellectual contributions" made in the service of a broken, antihuman economy that would see us all living in absolute squalor
You might have 1–5 years to contribute intellectually to the world before AGI. What should you do with them?
Excellent advice from @jaschasd (Anthropic) at Stanford. Skip Netflix tonight and watch this instead.
