This is one of my favorite people, my niece Aurora. She’s 2 and autistic, so she experiences the world a little differently than we do. But one thing she absolutely loves is books.
Every month since she was born, she’s gotten a book from @DollysLibrary. And whenever she comes to our house, sooner or later she’ll bring me one of those books and ask me to read it to her.
That’s the kind of legacy @DollyParton leaves behind.
The lives she touched stretch so much farther than music or movies. A little girl in Michigan who loves her books is part of that legacy, too.
Dolly made my family’s life a little better. I’ll always be grateful for that.
