Wants to ensure that Hindus do not get to do Diwali shopping or what?
Don't worry about the police, don't worry about lathis - the BJP will not have the guts to try any of their antics.
Come march with us - we will walk together to protect the Constitution, to protect the Indian nation.
घबराने की जरूरत नहीं है।
I urge all student groups, regardless of your political affiliation - if you feel that India is under attack, if you feel you are under attack, your expression, your ideas, your way of thinking is under attack, come and join us.
It will be a fantastic march, and it's a march for the soul of this country.
Looking forward to seeing all of you there.

On behalf of all Mumbaikars and my party, I reiterate my demand that Captain Smit Machchhar be awarded the Ashoka Chakra. To those who called it a psyop or conspiracy theory: shame on you.
As an MP from Mumbai & on behalf of @mieknathshinde ji & @Shivsenaofc, I have written to PM @narendramodi ji requesting that @flydubai Captain Smit Machchhar be considered for the Ashok Chakra.
A son of Mumbai who showed extraordinary courage when it mattered most. 🇮🇳

Wrong lungi. By that logic there is no Kerala or no Malayali identity. Kerala itself was a fragmented polity. So by your argument there is no Mallu identity and Kerala is a modern concept.

Hergé was quite racist in his early volumes like Tintin in the Congo, the Blue Lotus (anti-Japanese, and arguably anti-Daoist if you count Didi's references to Lao Tzu), The Broken Ear, Land of Black Gold, etc. though I suppose it's not too surprising given that he worked for the ultraconservative, Catholic, and pro-fascist newspaper Le Vingtième Siècle up until the German invasion of Belgium.
His later volumes like Tintin in Tibet were less bigoted/racist.
The art in this series of posts is "ligne claire" - a style pioneered by Georges Prosper Remi (Hergé), the famous Belgian creator of Tintin. To see it applied to the theme of IVC is infinite child-like joy.

Can you all please stop developing bengaluru and start building your own places??
Some Kannadigas act like they built Bengaluru with their own hands.
Reality: the city grew because of people who came from outside and worked hard.
Maybe that’s why some don’t value it — they got the benefits without much efforts...#Bengaluru #Karnataka #Kannada #BengaluruIT #ITJobs #BengaluruForAll #LanguagePolitics #KannadaImposition #Regionalism #Bengaluru #Kannada #Karnataka #ITIndustry #JobReservations #LocalVsOutsider

Grateful to The Global Indian for featuring my journey in their Cover Story today.
From a PhD in Chemical Engineering in South Carolina, to bioinformatics research in Singapore, teaching at Keio University in Japan, building an analytics startup, and now running Mysore Polymers and Rubber Products (yes, our rubber bellows fly on every PSLV and GSLV launch!) — it has been a winding road.
Through all of it, one passion has stayed constant: India's past, and the stories that never made it into our school textbooks. Why don't more of us know about Lachit Borphukan at Saraighat, Marthanda Varma at Colachel, or the Chola navy's voyages across Southeast Asia?
That question has led to five books in six years — The Battle of Vathapi trilogy, Daughter of Two Rivers, and now Mahakshana: Moments That Shaped the Mahabharata, which pauses at the defining moments when choices were made and destinies changed forever.
In the interview, I talk about how Amish's Meluha trilogy first pushed me to write, the history teacher who made us copy Ashoka's inscription in the original script, and how I manage 10,000 words a week alongside a day job.
Thank you, Vikram Sharma , for a wonderful conversation.

SDI in Bengaluru was set up in 1992. Setup and commanded by Wg Cdr (later Air Mshl) Pramod Vasant Athawale and a three-man team, it quietly did for the IAF what Infosys was doing for the world.
His citation is an eye-opener. Hope other GoI arms took inspiration.
Did you know that @IAF_MCC’s Software Dev Institute developed an AI tool that used engine data from Flight Data Recorders to train a model to predict any impending engine failures? This has helped to reduce inflight emergencies where the AL-31FP engine has suffered failures.

In the last months of his life, Allama Iqbal did one more thing. He went looking for someone to build the intellectual foundations of the Islamic order he had imagined.
He found a young scholar in Hyderabad, editing a journal of Quranic commentary. At Iqbal’s encouragement, in March 1938, that scholar moved to Pathankot in Punjab, to a project called Darul Islam. Iqbal died a month later.
Guess who the scholar was?
The young man’s name was Syed Abul A’la Maududi.
