Prashant Bhushan is a well- known face of Indian left. He wants regime change knowing fully well the implications of it. As he says:
“Ye mai aaj khule taur pe keh raha hu ki haa ye regime change ki ladai hai”
“Today, I declare openly that this is a battle for regime change.”
The curious part is that they've cleverly camouflaged their ambition as something as pious as saving democracy.
The ‘fight for democracy’ is a facade. In the name of demos, these rabble rousers want to institute their dictates, not through persuasion but through anarchy. Like an old man's hunger for life, the losers hunger for the lost power and will accomplish it by any means.
There is an unnecessary sensationalism here. Gandhi wrote to Jayaprakash Narayan that Prabhavati has started to follow Brahmacharya, in his words:
“If Prabhavati is not deceiving
herself it would appear that she is free from desire. Even when
she is with you she has no sexual urge and only becomes ill. I therefore think that you should free her. Doctor Jivraj also examined her. He too advises that if she finds it difficult to keep up marital relations she should be allowed to abstain.”
लोकनायक जयप्रकाश नारायण की पत्नी प्रभावती महात्मा गांधी के सत्य के प्रयोग की लंबे समय तक साझेदार रही थीं। वह गांधी के प्रभाव में इतना थीं कि एक समय जयप्रकाश को छोड़ने के लिए भी तैयार हो गई थीं। तलाक की नौबत आ गई थी।जयप्रकाश नारायण ने अंततः गांधी को इस बाबत कई चिट्ठियां लिखीं और कहा कि प्रभावती को अपने आश्रम और अपनी सेवा से मुक्त कर वापस उन के पास भेज दें। लेकिन प्रभावती गांधी का साथ छोड़ने के लिए हरगिज तैयार नहीं थीं। गांधी ने जयप्रकाश नारायण को लिखा कि तुम चाहो तो दूसरा विवाह कर लो , प्रभावती तुम्हारे पास नहीं जाएगी। सरोजनी नायडू के पति बार-बार गांधी के पास उन के आश्रम आते। चीखते-चिल्लाते। लेकिन सरोजनी नायडू गांधी को छोड़ कर नहीं जातीं। राजकुमारी अमृता कौर , मेडेलीन स्लेड उर्फ मीराबेन , निला क्रेम कुक , सरला देवी चौधरानी , डॉ सुशीला नय्यर , आभा गांधी और मनु गांधी समेत कुछ और देशी , विदेशी स्त्रियां थीं , जो सब कुछ के बावजूद गांधी को छोड़ कर जाने को तैयार नहीं होती थीं।
Jafar Sharif, writing in 1832, documents how converted Muslims still retained strong Hindu elements.
“In Bengal, before the recent crusade against idolatry, it was the practice of low-class Musalmans to join in the Durga Puja and other Hindu festivals. They are very careful about omens and auspicious days, and dates for weddings and other rites are fixed after consulting Hindu Pandits. Hindu deities, like Sitala who controls small-pox, and Kali who protects her votaries from cholera, are worshipped during epidemics. In Bihar, Musalmans join in the worship of the sun, and some of them visit Hindu temples. But the most important deviation from the standard rules of Islam is the widespread worship of Pirs and Saints.”
