NEURALINK registered a new one-story, 7,900-square-foot laboratory research building called the "Vivarium Research Facility", TDLR project TABS2027004654, at its existing Del Valle, Texas, campus. A vivarium is a facility for housing research animals. It includes support spaces, a procedure room, storage, sanitation, enrichment spaces, controlled enclosures, and building service areas. It is estimated at $2.7 million and is scheduled for construction starting November 2nd to May 3rd, 2027. Neuralink already has animal housing and operates animal research at the Del Valle site. I am not sure if this is an add on to that area, or if Neuralink will utilize another area like their newly acquired land under DV Property Venture LLC. More Neuralink news in today's EC below!

TESLA: Tesla Sr. Staff Fire & Regulatory Specialist, Christina Francis, and Team hosted the Tesla First Responder Training Event at the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Academy. Tesla and the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department covered information first responders need for incidents involving Tesla's EVs, energy storage systems, and other emerging technologies. Per National Volunteer Fire Council CEO Sarah Lee, "As technology continues to evolve, opportunities like these help keep first responders informed, prepared, and safe. Thanks to Tesla and Fairfax County Fire and Rescue for hosting!" More Tesla news in today's EC bnelow!

TESLA: Megapacks have begun arriving at the Eccles Battery Energy Storage System near Coldstream in the Scottish Borders. The project is a 500 MW / 1,000 MWh (1 GWh) site developed by Matrix Renewables. Tesla holds the full engineering, procurement, and construction agreement for the Megapack installation. The Scottish Government approved the project in 2023; construction started in November 2025. Commercial operations are expected in autumn 2027 in partnership with EDF. The site sits on key transmission corridors between Scotland and England and is intended to support grid flexibility and renewable integration. More Tesla news in today's EC below!

New Boring Company flyover!
THE BORING COMPANY HQ: Bastrop, Texas, October Here is my flyover of TBC's Bastrop headquarters and Prufrock factory. It's is where they test every machine before it ships, build and store equipment, precast tunnel segments, liner trucks, vertical cassettes and conveyor belt systems, and more. They house their Prufrock Command Center here to control all the Prufrock's soon to be around the world. - The SpaceX Pedestrian Tunnel started as Porpoise Test 6 (PT6). TBC first bored it to test (no people in the tunnel) ZPIT continuous mining, an upgraded liner truck and the "SNAILS on RAILS" navigation system. After the test, they turned it into a 500 ft walkway under FM1209 that connects the SpaceX site to Hyperloop Plaza, where The Boring Bodega is. People use it so they don't have to cross that busy road on foot. - Hard-rock Prufrock-MB4 being constructed for Nashville's Music City LOOP. - The Test Tunnel PT5 connects SpaceX's Starlink factory to TBC under FM1209. It was the first use of custom hexagonal segments, automated gantry steering, quick craneless retrieval, and the first version of ZPIT. It's now a test bench for liner trucks, vertical cassettes and new belt systems. - Hyperloop Test Tunnel was PT4; the first craneless, pitless retrieval of the machine. It's now a vacuum tunnel for Hyperloop vacuum pump system testing. It also connects SpaceX's Starlink factory to TBC under FM1209. - Lastly, Prufrock-5 after completing a test tunnel connecting Ring Ranch and possibly the SpaceX Starmind Factory. I videoed it right before it was loaded up and shipped to San Antonio, Texas, for the Morgan's Wonderland Tunnel. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments. Subscriber Photo-thread and Support links in the thread. Thanks for watching!

TESLA: There are reports that Samsung Electro-Mechanics will receive about 3.7 trillion won (~$2.8 billion) from Tesla and NVIDIA to expand FC-BGA (flip-chip ball grid array) substrate production for AI semiconductors. Tesla is reported to contribute ~1.1 trillion won and NVIDIA ~2.6 trillion won toward dedicated lines primarily in Sejong, South Korea. The substrates would support AI chips for Tesla’s autonomous vehicles and Optimus robots under a five-year supply agreement from 2029 through 2033, with mass production targeted for the second half of 2028. NVIDIA has also publicly discussed substrate capacity partnerships with the company. More Tesla news in today's EC below!

SPACEX: The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) tested Rocket Cargo point-to-point delivery on the October 20th Bandwagon-5 launch via SpaceX’s Starfall reentry capsule. AFRL agile cargo pods inside the capsule carried a SATCOM-enabled tracker, batteries, a reverse osmosis desalinator, survival gear, and emergency medical equipment, with sensors measuring temperature, shock, and vibration during launch and reentry. Engineers also fit-checked a UNI-PAC III life raft for possible future use. The test evaluates whether commercial rockets can rapidly deliver critical supplies worldwide to sites without roads or runways, supporting future military resupply, rescue operations, and disaster relief. Per Brig. Gen. Douglas P. Wickert, AFRL commander and Department of the Air Force Technology Executive Officer, "Today’s launch was another demonstration of how AFRL is partnering with industry to burn down risk, collect hard data and deliver war-winning technologies for the operational force." Per Adam Remaly, Director of AFRL Technology Transition Office, "This was a critical achievement to demonstrate the potential of Rocket Cargo delivery for point-to-point rapid global mobility for the Future Force." SPACEX: The University of Louisiana Board today approved a lease that brings SpaceX to the Peter M. John and David M. John Wildlife and Coastal Preservation Center in Vermilion Parish; the old Pecan Island school. UL Lafayette will lease the school building and about 5 acres to Ragin’ Cajun Facilities, Inc., a UL-affiliated nonprofit, for $1 per year for 40 years. That nonprofit will sublease the property to SpaceX for the same term, with property improvements in lieu of cash rent. Exhibit A listing those improvements was blank in the board materials. Allowed uses include housing, warehousing, and fabrication. At the meeting, officials noted SpaceX wants immediate access ahead of a possible sale as soon as next year. The facility includes offices, an Olympic-sized pool, basketball court, tennis court, and track. More SpaceX news in today's EC below!
