Aurie is a beautiful 2 year old male Lurcher mix breed. He is available and looking for a new home.
Aurie is chipped and neutered and healthy with no medical issues.
He would suit a home with no cats or dogs. Aurie will bark at other dogs when out on a walk.
He loves people and gets excited to meet new people. Aurie will jump up to say hello.
He eats Ava dog food from Pets at Home.
Aurie is okay on short journeys in the car - he hasn't been use to long trips.
He sleeps in the kitchen at night and is registered with the vets.
Aurie can be left on his own if you need to go out and is good with children.
He would be suited to a home with or without kids.
Aurie can be strong on the lead and loves to play and have a carry on.
He likes treats and loves to play fetch.
He knows basic commands.

110 Podencos saved, but I’m still sad. Why?
Because the perrera is full of dogs who have been there for years, unseen, unnoticed and unwanted.
People have contacted Ribamontes asking for Podencos from the 110, but when told those dogs have gone and that there are others who have been sitting in kennels for years, suddenly those dogs weren’t wanted.
I want to be absolutely clear: I hugely appreciate every single person who helped with the 110.
The generosity, compassion and effort were incredible, and this post is in no way intended to diminish the amazing work you have all done.
Quite the opposite.
It’s about highlighting that this problem is so much bigger than 110 Podencos.
We also took Podencos from the normal kennel situation the other day, have reserved this German Shepherd, and there are around five Podencos from other cases still waiting to be collected.
They are the ones not wanted.
They will be picked up over the next few days.
Every single day, dogs are suffering in perreras and overcrowded shelters that are understaffed and desperately short of volunteers.
Believe me, a dog locked in a kennel for years in a shelter is NOT rescued.
They shut down, they lose hope, they start spinning in circles because the mental torture becomes too much.
I’m asking everyone who was willing to help one of the 110 to please consider reaching out to a perrera and helping a Podenco or other breed who has been waiting there for years 🙏🏻

This isn’t about pointing fingers or creating online drama. It’s about recognising a much bigger problem.
Many people played a part in what happened with the 110, handing dogs over to this man they knew was unable to care for them.
He’s already had dogs taken away previously according to sources involved and yet people continued to give him dogs they didn’t want.
The dogs suffered.
But this is not an isolated situation. Dogs are continually handed over to already overcrowded shelters, sometimes by people who know exactly what conditions await them.
This happens far too often. We shouldn’t need 110 dogs in a crisis to make people care.
One forgotten dog, sitting alone in a cage for years, should be enough.
We will take the German Shepherd. Who will contact Ribamontes rescue and help take another?
Let’s not forget the invisible ones.

Sadly, Camel is really struggling with the stress of kennel life, he dislikes being on his own & is finding it tough, he's a big friendly giant, loves human company & wants to make friends with everyone he meets. He loves having cuddles & fuss & is a bit of a couch potato! He can be reactive to other dogs at times, this can be made worse when he's stressed, but he's able to make doggy friends if introduced in the correct way. He wouldn’t need a huge amount of exercise if he had a medium to large garden to potter around in. Halloween artificial cobweb material:
It may be a bit of fake fun for you, but it's a very real and terrifying death for them.
And it's not only birds.
Last year I had my first call of the season of a hedgehog trapped in this horrific fake 'cobweb', made especially for gullible halloweeners to spread over their greenery, trapping all unsuspecting birds, insects and mammals, including hedgehogs.
The fine synthetic fibers are difficult for animals to see and can quickly wrap around their legs, spines, and neck, leading to severe injuries.
When a hedgehog struggles to free herself the web tightens, cutting off circulation and causing deep wounds.
These constriction injuries often lead to permanent damage or death.
Unfortunately the call was from Manchester, so all I could do was talk them through getting the poor creature to a rescue.
Clearly she had been trapped there for at least one night, and her struggles had pulled the strong nylon strands so tightly that one of her toes had been amputated.
Can you imagine the pain and the sheer terror?
And then seeing dawn approach, while hanging there, tightly bound and helpless.
Aside from being stressed, dehydrated, starving and exhausted to the point of near death, she also had horrific bite/peck wounds to her face, where she had been held there, helpless, unable to curl and defend herself, while a predator tried to eat her alive.
If you have used this deadly cruel trap to 'decorate' your garden, please take it down now.
Please don't be conned by the greedy makers and sellers of this rubbish into hurting defenceless animals.

This very special girl has been through more than any dog ever should, and now she deserves a life filled with love, kindness, comfort and safety. Could you be the person to give her the happy ending she deserves?
Pud is a female Lurcher/Whippet-type dog, medium-sized with a strong, athletic build. Her exact age is unknown, but she is physically fit and healthy.
She was rescued in a terrible condition and has received the veterinary care she desperately needed. Although she has permanent wounds to her face and scarring across her body, she is now safe, healing and ready to begin the next chapter of her life.
She does have some hair loss, which we believe is likely related to her poor condition. Thankfully, she is gradually improving and looking better week by week. It is wonderful to see her slowly recover.
Her personality is what makes her so special
Despite everything she has endured, she is genuinely one of the softest, sweetest dogs you could ever meet. She absolutely adores people, loves cuddles and is happiest when she can curl up on the sofa for a cosy snooze beside someone she trusts.
She has been carefully tested around food and toys and has shown no aggression whatsoever. She is a gentle, affectionate girl who simply wants to feel safe and loved.
She could live in a family home with children, although we feel a home without babies, toddlers or very young children would be safest. Because of her existing injuries, little ones could accidentally hurt her without meaning to.
What about other animals?
Because of her difficult past, we believe it is safest to walk her on a lead and have her wear a muzzle around other animals. With her muzzle fitted and her lead on, she is not reactive and happily walks around other dogs.
Her future home must be understanding of this precaution and committed to keeping her and other animals safe.
The home she deserves
We are looking for a truly special home that will see past her scars and someone who is capable of handling her. You must have a high enclosed garden and be prepared to walk her safely around other animals - she would love to do things like go to an enclosed dog park and zoom around.

Odin is a beautiful 3 year old male Border Collie. He is available and looking for a new home.
Sadly due to the owners health , Odin needs someone who can provide him the stimulation and attention he needs. He is very much loved but would be best in a home with someone who can give him lots of walks and attention.
He is chipped and neutered and healthy with no concerns.
Odin can be wary of strangers to begin with and would need a little time to get use to anyone new.
He is okay with some pets and can be wary of others - due to this, he’d be best in a home with no other pets to save him any unsettlement.
Odin eats dry and wet food and is also crate trained.
He loves toys and can be strong on the lead.
Odin has had the same owner since being a pup.
He isn’t a fan of the hoover but does love to play with a ball.
He is more of a fan of women than men, so may be best with a lone female looking for company, although we will consider male households too.
Odin is very loving and affectionate. No cats.

Willow is a 9 month old female Lurcher mix. She is available and looking for a new home as her owner is unwell.
Willow is good with other dogs and kids, she is also healthy with no medical issues.
She is chipped.
She eats a diet of dry food and sleeps in her owners room at night.
Willow is registered with the vets and loves meeting new people.
She is up to date with her vaccinations.
On the lead she can pull a bit when she is returning home. She does have some recall.
Willow loves the car.
She isn’t use to cats.
She isn’t really scared of anything. She loves attention and a cuddle.
